Bring! It! On!
Is she overseas?
Poor Susie I say, hide all the headsets pronto.
More chance of Conor McGregor winning it than Max
I think its only staunch Hamilton fans and people who pretend they are not staunch Hamilton fans that will see it that way no matter what is put in front of them.
The facts behind it all, that the nuetrals should pay attention to, is that the better driver over the course of the season has won the drivers championship, all teams agreed the race should finish under green flags and Masi did that. Merc who had the fastest car won the Constructors.
Checo deserves more credit than he is getting. He had a tough season but what he did today was special
Toto's reaction
Hamilton will be back, no doubt about that. It was the right result today, questionable call from the race director has put a bit of a dampener on it but that's not the first time it happened this year. Still these things have a habit of evening themselves out.
Wow
Oh sorry , overseas winner. No she's British
Why wasn’t sainz allowed drive up behind max for restart to contest the win. Masi and stewards are the biggest fault here. Decisions made purely based on occasion and not a normal situation.
First race is in Bahrain next year. It might actually come up in the new car launch whenever that is. Remember all the way back in February Mercedes-Benz hired Steve Jones (and presumably the Whisper C4F1 team) to cover the launch and Steve almost treated it like a normal C4 programme with questions that clearly weren't vetted by Merc PR (Why only the one year extension Lewis?)
Regarding Lewis's 2 year contract, I remember Rosberg was all signed up to do 2017 and we know what happened there. Any contract in Red Bull or Alpha Tauri tends to have a performance clause. (Albon, Kvyat, Hartley and Gasly can attain) so it's not bolted on he'll be there next year but I can't see him bowing out just yet.
Meanwhile at haas
Toto losing the rag while it all goes off in the last lap is epic stuff

It was excellent, but the safety car neutralised that effect as well.
Not really. Checo cost Lewis enough time to keep Max close to Lewis even after the VSC pit stop meant Lewis couldn't pit under SC
Good point.
Meanwhile, we've seen Toto, we've seen the Haas team, now here's Horners last lap reaction.
Would Lewis not have pitted straight away if Max was another 9 seconds behind him?
I wonder if the real reason Perez was retired was RB were informed what the restart would look like and RB were concerned Lewis would come 3rd.
What could have happened in the constructors if RB got a 1-2
Who says he wasn’t?
Got so used to Melbourne lol
Sun is making it up. Even if Hamilton would think of retirement in the shock now. When thinking rational again, he didn't lose against his teammate who swore bloody revenge. Mercedes is the best engine and the team has the best potential to give him a winning car. Russell was not convincing in the final races.
What speaking against them is that the title fight dragged out so long and took Ressource away from next years development. McLaren and Ferrari were leapfrogged after 2008 by Red Bull and brawn.
Btw the hidden champions of alpha tauri that both overtook bottas on the last lap.
The two lapped cars between him and Max.
I like this.
I've some class memories from Honda in F1. I only knew them from the odd little Honda 600 that my neighbour had. Suddenly they were in Formula 1, the high point the McLaren MP 4/4 with that Marlboro livery. I won't forget them either way.
Some effort from sainz to finish ahead of Norris in the drivers championship as well.
It was one next to the other
The key word there is "The Sun" . He will definitely try again for 8
Don't let all the craziness distract you from the fact that Yuki got 4th place - great to see!
It s at least a bit about him being English and the general Irish revulsion to the as sucking the English media partake in with sports people. Well it is that for me at least
Best scene today for me was actually Anthony Hamilton congratulating Jos and Max. Really got the impression he recognized how special that moment was for a father to see his son become world champion. A small club. I'm sure he spoke to them to that effect. Both Hamiltons showed class today.
Given the sh*tshow that the closing stages of this championship have been, I'm very glad it ended respectfully. Sure there must be some anger still lingering and there probably will be additional appeals etc, but it could have gotten truly ugly. And it didn't.
Yeah you'd have to say after Max he's been the standout driver of the season. Really great performance from him today. If Ferrari get their act together he'll be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.
You really are something else.
There have been two standout drivers this season and Sainz is nowhere near the conversation.
