Bring! It! On!
Probably worth having a google of crashgate...
Sky will be furious that Toto won't talk to the media tonight.
Someone in the boardroom in Stuttgart needs to ring Toto tonight and tell him to drop it. Send out a few advertisements congratulating Verstappen, Red Bull and Honda and see ye in 2022.
They're in a fair amount of shlt regarding forged emissions tests in Germany, so this makes this look even worse.
They have 8 constructers championships in a row, nobody else has done more than 5 in a row. Take it and be happy.
It’s getting pathetic from Mercedes. At some stage you just need to accept the stewards results. Sets a terrible precedent that will have teams lodge all sorts of complaints in future.
My take on it is that Hamilton was extremely unlucky at the end. With a late safety car and a desire to finish the race under a green flag, he was almost in an impossible position. Pit and give up track position or stay out on very old tyres.
But, luck is a part of racing. In the end, Max is a worthy champion and Mercedes having the constructors seems about right. The more they protest the drivers championship the worse they look.
crashgate 2008 pretty much put an end to that sort of shenanigans
Oh I am taking nothing away from Perez. He still had to make the move and at the time I said it was phenomenal driving, and I stand by it.
Fair points but its was great driving by Perez and I think it fustrated Lewis as he accused Perez of dangerous driving.
Conspiracy theories aside, what is there to stop a team engineering a nudge into the barrier to help another team ?
Hamilton has been here before. (This article is from 2007, not tonight)

Good idea.
I might get one of each made up for myself and declare myself World Champion. Because I think I'm a great fella altogether.
In fact I'll get 10 of each made up and call myself the G.O.A.T.
People want Russell to fail for giving an opinion ffs.
Same people will say 'oh look what the actual racing drivers think' when making a point to suit their narrative, but when a racing driver gives his opinion on something they don't like then he's a bastard and deserves to fail.
It's toxic as f*ck. Imagine wanting a driver to fail so badly for having a different opinion to someone who is sitting on their couch.
Is this a parody post?
And sure while you're at it get him a trophy and jacket(!) made for 2016 also because Nico was mean and didn't let him that one.
elite level sports people / teams are often fairly awful people, their single mindedness probably causes this. Mercedes and Hamilton have just lost a world championship in really controversial circumstances, to think red bull or max wouldn’t be kicking up a fuss no is fairly naive I think.
For the record I think they made the right call, they couldn’t change it now and RB or max did nothing wrong today, just got a bit of luck.
So did Latifi. It would have been pretty strange for a Williams driver not to wear a tribute helmet that weekend don't you think? Whatever you think of Russell that's an odd thing to single out and praise him for, when it's unlikely it was his decision rather than the team's.
Lance Armstrong had a whole massive charity. Still a gobsh**te. I'm neutral on Russell but your reasoning is daft
Id be worried about what he'd do next
Toto just left with Paul Harris QC.
He'll be another Bottas while Hamilton is there
Because that would be really classy.
Its not decided in 1 race, its decided over a season, Verstappen got more points so hes the champion - its pretty straightforward
Through taking advantage of DRS detection zones deployments.
In case you forgot, Perez needed DRS to overtake Hamilton again which kept him behind. Hamilton didn't have that luxury today.
Hamilton was also on hard tyres, compared to Perez being on worn softs, so Hamilton's tyre advantage at the time was lower than Max's. The hards take a number of laps to get up to speed. It's one of the reasons why Max wasn't able to close in as quickly when he put the fresh hards on.
He certainly enjoys listening to himself.
Hes gunna fit in great with Merc thats for sure.
Yeah, a guy who wears a tribute helmet for the man who brought him into F1 must be a gobsh**t
Never really got the love for him. His tweet that he later deleted about Bottas that time was a Dick move.
Craig Slater really would put you sleep if you listen to him too long.
So how did Perez hold of Lewis on really worn tyres and Lewis had brand new tyres?
Would you stop, that's embarrassing
That's how safety cars work. This isn't a new thing. It doesn't matter how big a lead is, what matters is who is first past the post. Hamilton lost on track.
Why?
Do you wish the same for Lando? He said at the end of the race that he didn't like how it unfolded either and he has no skin in the game.
I REALLY hope George Russell has a woeful season next season, like, brutal bad.
