Bring! It! On!
I suppose reflecting on it, it was consistently inconsistent stewarding all season so it was just going to be a case of who was in the right place at the right time to cash in at the crucial moment.
They really need to have a look at it for next season, exciting as it was, the sport's credibility will be lost in all the drama
Netflix couldn't make that up.
Verstappen won the race because of a better strategy. He had nothing to lose with the extra stops and sometimes luck goes your way.
But Masi has been a disgrace all season long. He bends to whoever complains the most. I'm pretty sure they didn't even apply the correct rules at then end only letting 4 cars unlap themselves at the last second.
Notable that nobody can justify what happened with anything other than "karma" or "swings and roundabouts".
I predicted at the first safety car that Max would win, it was really detrimental to Mercedes.
But not win like that, with the race director manipulating rules to create a scenario that favoured one driver massively.
Odd with lapped cars thing. Lucky for Verstappen
I think the chance to let them race was right. Imagine Lewis had pitted and did the restart on fresh tyres there wouldn't have been so much controversy. Lewis stated he wanted to pit multiple times.
Max could have stayed out, the tyre differential would not have been there.
It's very fitting that they were level on points into the last race of the season and it all came down to a last lap shoot out!
Not the first time they've done that, especially on tyres.
Why didn't Mercedes pit Lewis?
Yes Hamilton had bad luck, but he had good luck on the first lap and his team made a major mistake today.
Yes they are, letting only some of the lapped cars through is not within the rules.
I’m elated here lads, I love this sport so much.
Merc lost Hamilton the race though. They could've brought Lewis in a few times to change tyres, even under the VSC and they didn't. I can't help but fell Merc have to take their own blame too. If Lewis was on softs the same, he would've held onto the win
It wasn't a fair one lap shootout. It proved nothing in that regard.
the best part is that it was a fight with mick schumacher that dirtied latifis tires and caused all that
Toto Wolf is such a sore loser and an immature child in a man's body. I used to have respect for him but I have none anymore.
Don't agree. They'd have given up position in doing so witout the tyre differential.
The half assing of the rules, which is unacceptable, is what cost them.
Toto went to the well too many times and he fucked his own team with his historonics! The race organisers had enough of him!
Toto it's called a Motor Race....... LOVE IT
Masi put Toto in his place. Brilliant. Tota has been a disgrace today.
Well done Michael Massi, take no shite
Masi to Toto: "It's a car race, it's a motor race"
Well said, first good thing he has done.
You'd think they'd apologise or say they were wrong or something. Some of the posting here is more embarrassing than in the soccer forum
Salty interaction between Toto and Michael 'the Miracle' Masi!
"Toto, it's called a motor race"
Toto asked Masi to reinstate the lap before, salty salty tears
Wow Masi burying Toto.
I don't think "swings and roundabouts" apply.
They manufactured a finish, that isn't racing or letting the chips fall where they may.
The stewards made a decision, then they went back on it and made a half-decision at the very last second. If they decided from the start to let the cars through then we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Just because you were happy with the outcome doesn’t mean they were all over the place.
They fucked it up, and now the talk is about them, again.
It’s called motor racing. That was a bit abrupt from Michael massi.
