That's awful - I posted the bargain above and got an e-mail during the week to say they have no idea when it will be dispatched - sorry to hear it arrived in such terrible condition - never bought lego from Amazon.de before - it was on my Christmas shopping list so I thought it was a good deal.
I got back onto Amazon customer service after saying how disappointed I was, etc, etc. They offered me a 25 euro further of a discount which ill just take. Ive got lego in the past from Amazon.de and its been perfect, just unlucky I guys. Im going to keep it for myself anyway, if can be my wifes christmas present to me.🤣
Say toys20 at the till get it for 112
Unfortunately missed the code earlier but managed to get it for 140 which is still a bargain thankfully ☺️ Thanks again
No probs if not far from you you could always bring it back and say it to them, argos is good that way and you would get another 20% off it.
Is there any way to use the toys20 code on the website ?

Bough the Disney Lego Castle 280 Euro and R2D2 160 Euro the other day from Disney.eu website - paid in euro - 440 euro total. Got an e-mail from Disney.co.uk to say they were preparing my order. Is it being sent from UK and if so will I get hit with customs? Thanks
Had 5 of the black Friday sets in my basket overnight but they were all sold out this morning, sickener.
If you buy online for home delivery you can add the discount code at the card details page. Still accepting toys20 as of a few mins ago
Most likely yes. Zavvi is the same, they say there will be no extra cost, but I got hit twice with extra VAT charges. What annoys me is these webshops all use domains like .eu or .ie, so you think you are fine, but then turns out they ship from the UK and then could be fecked. And they actually state this on their website.
Terms and Conditions of Sale - shopDisney.eu – Disney Guest Services
Items are shipped from the UK and additional charges are to be paid by you. These websites should not be allowed to use .eu
9. Customs and VAT
When ordering products from us, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. These and any other additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from us, you must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products. Please note that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
All our prices include VAT, if applicable. Where VAT does not apply due to your location, the price displayed on the Site is deemed to be the price excluding VAT.
I had a few sets I really wanted, but they had issues with their banking systems and so non of my payment cards would authorise. Missed out on all the triple discounts :(
Haven't been caught from zavvi. I believe their warehouse is in Europe and not the UK so I haven't been caught with VAT customs from them.
Okay so the good news is that it shipped from Germany and should arrive any day now but the second part of the order R2D2 is saying 'In progress' since the day I ordered it.
Zavvi website was in the channel islands initially, so before Brexit there was vat due, but they had remedied that, and again since Brexit, there is now an Irish site - it used to be we had to go to .com and choose UK and pay EUR. but seems to be all good now.
Brexit update
zavvi can confirm that your shopping experience will not be impacted, and you will be able to continue to place orders as usual.
For customers located in the EU, most of our products will ship from our distribution centre within the EU and therefore ordering with us will continue as normal.
For any products shipping from the UK to addresses in the EU, tax and duties will be settled on your behalf with our courier, so there is no cost to you.
I ordered the Home Alone set from Disneystore.eu on the 24th and it still says in progress. The black Friday gift that I qualified for went to shipped and it arrived today from Germany.
It's very frustrating. I'm preparing myself for an email update saying that the Home Alone set won't be coming as they don't have stock.
Okay so the Disney castle arrived today but the R2D2 still said 'In progress' - I sent them an e-mail and asked them would it be here in time for Christmas. Within an our I got an e-mail confirming the dispatch of the R2D2 set. I'd drop them a quick e-mail if you can.
Is Zavvi a good company to deal with? I've seen a few good offers on their website but haven't seen them mentioned here before so I never bothered ordering from them. Thanks.
Double VIP Points on Lego store 10th-12th December.
Thanks. I've been on to chat a few times and got generic responses. I then rang this morning and was told it seemed odd and they'd investigate at the warehouse but seemed like it may have been out of stock. I could then expect either a shipping notice or cancellation in the next few days. Cancellation mail came this evening unfortunately.
And no sign of it coming back on Lego site. It went temporarily out of stock just before black Friday and hasn't been back since.
I got a that exact same response on live chat last week - try dropping them an e-mail and see if that helps.
Thats what the website says, but when you ask the customer service to confirm that message, they repeatedly and constantly say that custom charges are refunded, but VAT NOT. It is a conflicting message and drives me nuts. I keep escalating it. Also have several orders that simply never arrived. But you have to wait 30 days for a refund.
I've ordered a good few times in the past and it's hit and miss in my experience. Personally I would be reluctant to recommend them.
Argos have a good few sets reduced now. Also on lego website the Seinfeld set has 30% off. Only bought it full price last wk so a bit annoying and the queer eye apt is 30% off on lego site as well.
I bought the Seinfeld one too at full price when it first came out because I love the show: annoying that it is 30% off now :) Mustn't have been as popular as they thought it would be. Amazon have it on at a similar price too. Great price per piece.
Yeah it must not be selling at all sadly. Haven't made mine yet but would recommend it to people.
More reductions on certain sets in argos. The lego ninjago catamaran was 70 reduced already to 55 now an additional 18 off it so down to 37. Its a really nice set have it made already, big box as well. Have reserved another 1 myself. Few other sets reduced again. Lego City main square reduced down to 100 from 160.
Argos have their sale on but you cannot get into their site at moment can on the UK site so I say Irish one put up too early and that's why restricted now as none on sale on argos.co.uk . I reserved a lot of sets there. Will suss which ones I want but for example, hydro ninjago set down to 68 euro. Lego City cargo train set 94, lego ocean exploration set down to 68. Lego belles Castle was 110 down to 38.lots of sets not in stock anywhere and weren't before Xmas so even tho some class sets for super cheap there is none in Ireland.
