Yea but they were playing the poor mouth at the start setting the bar at 130000 and then the achitect came with an estimate for250000 and then the foundations cost 30000 extra ....... there had to be money coming from somewhere that they didn't expect at the start. The fitout of teh haouse wasn't skimped on either
Setting the max at 130000 was a waste of time even starting, probably leave the house worse after than before
Homeless beard and shorts...... probably a good description of me half the time. Unfortunately I haven't made my fortune yet! 😕
"They don't look affluent enough". What a snide comment. Is there a mandatory dress code?
Should farmers go back to baling twine for belts if they have a bad year, you know, just to let everyone know their status.
They put on a bloody good poor mouth, 130000 refit, what world are they living in.
Getting in an achitect for 130000, again what world are they living in, have they no cop on
Anyone on here tried using Sobac? Was reading about it on one of those Facebook discussion groups but it's seems to be the same few salesmen promoting it all the time.
Last time I enquired directly they only had anecdotal evidence to supply rather than any actual scientific studies
maybe it’s changed since then.
University lecturer + freelance work+ missus salary- they could be on over 200k easily. You can afford to have no cop on when you are on that kinda dough!
A neighbour is very successful at computers if there's a mouse in the house he'd ring rentokill n had dynorod out as the pipe was blocked. He'd have zero interest in getting a few rods n sorting himself!
Don't forget the ponytail
Well, we all know you are just jealous of that.
What world were they living in when they set the max at 130000, dressed like they were, they made a joke of themselves and the whole program. Did they not owe it to the viewers to be upfront instead of being sneaky. They didn't do themselves any favours saying 130000 and then miracously spending 300000. I think I was being very charitable in my criticism compared to the way they treated the viewers.
I'm sure the architect was laughing at them, I know I was, I even thought they could double their 130000 when I heard it. The house was wreck
Easy know where the money is.
Banner farmers can't deny it anymore.

Turn around so we can have a look at your fringe
Trust me,it describes me for much of the year too.
I'm sure there are few around especially in the last 2 years.
I'm sure you'd wash an odd time though......
An occasional power hosing alright and a drop of spot on if needed.
I was thinking they could have laid a 4 inch floor on top of the floor that was already there. I've been accused of being loaded myself but to look at him you'd swear he had phuck all they said to me. A fella wouldn't want to be too sensitive like. Remain humble I say. Too many people with the fur coat and no knickers out there.
I remember talking by to an old bachelor neighbor of my wife’s years ago.. “it’s all on the walls and nothing on the table” in these new houses.
How could anyone afford to live in Dublin now. Lot to be said for a few pound in the pocket after the mortgage.
It's like the 1980s around here with all the mobile homes that are being bought,
Unlike Carrolls sister they all survived the storm though, it had to be lively for a few hours living in them though during the storm
It was reported already in the red tops.
Marty Morrissey's mother lost her life on Tuesday morning when she left the house to stay in a hotel during the storm.
Condolences to all who knew her.
Everyday
I think you quoted the wrong post here,
Anyway it was Kollegeknights sister that lost the roof of her mobile home...... just correcting that.
Could send you a bobbin to get you started.😁
Log cabins are the order of the day around here
There is a few springing up around, some look fairly cosy compared to a mobile home.
Absolutely. I'd far rather one than a mobile home and not a wild pile of differ in the price.
The 70's precast concrete bungalows were way ahead of their time.
There's a few around county wexford. Better longevity than a log cabin. Willfarman posted about someone moving into one a few years back.
Another one around this area. Lovely house now when the windows were modernised and attic insulated.
Were they The Avonree type of house?
