Probably a month's free shopping over a year
Yes I bought it. Jesus I'm getting **** attacked here.
More Tesco Clubcard Prices til 14/12 - 6x75cl Santa Rita wine €54.00 €35.00
I’d hardly call it an attack

They also have Como Sur Cabernet Sauvignon at €35 for six bottles with Clubcard.
Aldi
Dunnes
SuperValu Flash deal

Is that from today?
I did a drive up to Tesco Newry there last week a picked up some great savings on single malts. The Talisker 10YO is £30 at the moment.
Yes, picked it up in Douglas.
every little helps
24 Bud or Carlsberg also €18 in Tesco
decent selection of wines are 1/3 to 1/2 price in Tesco
In Aldi today and saw their "specially Selected" Amarone wine reduced to 10 euro, from around 17.
Not yet sure what it is like, but hard to go wrong with a bottle of Amarone for a tenner.
I'd be very very wary of so called "half price" wines in Tesco.
They tend to be marked up ridiculously so that they can "claim" half price.
If you see "winemakers selection" or something similar, you can take it that its not a genuine offer. Same with their own brand "Domaine Arnaud" - utter muck and not worth a fiver.
yeah fair point, but there's a few aussie selections and chilean that are decent - Penfolds Konoonga hill is down to 12 somehting - cheapest i've ever seen it. if i remember rightly, dada is down to 8 something too. can't rem most of them, i only scanned the shelves...
Some stuff has been on clearance recently, either in specific stores or generally. If the SEL has an asterisk on it, that means the product has been delisted and would explain why it's reduced.
Just my personal opinion, but I would guess most stores will try to offload stock before the end of the year.
Especially beers with a high Vol. Perhaps that is why I was able to stock up on Faxe (5%) in Lidl last month.
Frank Feighan, TD for Sligo-Leitrim, was a driving force behind the initiative.
Not too late to send him Christmas Card, or maybe a nice email!
Thanks for this, just picked up a few bottles of gin.
Very very few
The vast majority are in no way whatsoever worth anything near their RRP.
Example is Hardy's - pure muck. Sold in the UK for about £6.50 standard price. But Tesco want you to think it's a €17 bottle. Laughable.
Mira bay. Sold at standard price of €9.99 in my local gala corner shop. Tesco "RRP" a laughable €18
And Isla negra. Pure sh1te. Tesco want you to believe it's a €15 bottle. It's not.
It's a pure scam by Tesco, but people won't actually check and are suckered into their false marketing.
Is there anything in Tesco worth getting (serious question).
Was able to get adlis hard seltzer at 49c a can in galway
Dunnes is way better for wine than Tesco.
Some of the crap on here better getting Alka Seltzer!!!
Lidl
The Tesco Finest wine range is good, they are never half price, but if you can get them with a few euros off they are good value. It's the place you are most likely to find an 'interesting' bottle. But as noted, if you are looking for interesting bottles then Dunnes are a safer bet.
Ignoring the RRP, at their current price the Faustino V, CUNE Rioja Reserva, Penfolds, Columbia, Piccini and Calvet wines on offer are very nice.
If you are having a party, the 19 Crimes, Los Cardos, Kylie Minogue wines or the 6 santa rita for €35 will go down a storm.
Bushmills 10yo @ €30 😁
But generally their "offers" are products that are marked up dramatically for a short period and then marked down as an offer. Wines and toiletries are the two areas where this is so glaringly obvious.
Tesco's wine selection is bad...very bad imo. I much prefer supervalu.
Speaking of supervalu...€16 for 700ml bottle of Bacardi.
