Anyone who uses Twitter for any sort of video release is just **** stupid. Its a shockingly bad platform.
Franklin DLC coming to GTA....
Online. GTA Online.
Makes sense given the different possible endings for GTAV, but disappointing as the release of GTAV on PS5/XSX would have been the final real chance of any type of DLC for the single player, however unlikely. Now it's just never going to happen in favour of pushing more people to GTA Online instead. I fear for GTA6.
Please forgive the possible stupid question. I cleared gta v on PS3 and ps4, haven't bothered putting the disc into the ps5 yet. I've never played it online, will it be as simple as me installing the game, going to the main menu and going online to play?
I have no interest in a multiplayer game, just want to play, what I hope, is just a standalone story.
Of course it's GTA:O and not GTA V @Penn
They wouldn't be able to continually monetise a SP DLC.
R* are the corrupt corporate elite that they once themselves mocked! Oh how the turntables have... turned! 😆
They delisted the announcement video after an unsurprisingly negative response. It won't deter them though, I imagine.
They've already done the similar with Trevor he'd his own heists for online and a business to run, and then in one of the updates after that they confirmed that the cannon ending is the everyone lives with some of the other optional deaths also not being cannon as they show up too (Packie)
Online is set in the current year while the SP is set in it's release year.
In other news, an Irish OLED company is suing Nintendo.
Ah, wasn't sure. I had it my head that when GTA Online started it was set canonically before the events of GTAV, but didn't know if it had progressed since then or not.
I think the Doomsday stuff at the end of 2017 marked GTA:O in the current year from then 🙂
They might have a claim to it going by what's in those patents but I've a feeling this is just predatory patent behaviour. OLED tech is from the late 80's and these look like patent trolls getting on board just before the first OLED TVs became a consumer product.
Yeah, from what I can see Solas are just a licensing company who've amassed a large patent portfolio.
Sound like patent trolls tbh, they pretty much always file in Texas as their local laws are very favorable towards them.
That doesn't prove they're a patent troll. Everyone files patent lawsuits in East Texas. Something like a third of all patent lawsuits in the US are filed there.
Another Warhammer game on the way - an Age of Sigmar co-op adventure.
The engineer behind the NES and SNES architecture has passed away:
This will either be a mobile game, or a massive P2W cash grab. Zero faith that Nexon can make a decent game.
Presumably, that's one of the 40 other Warhammer games released that week?
Yeah, slated for PC and console as well as mobile, so probably shite.
To be fair, 2 of those 40 have likely been delayed due to the pandemic.

I love Deck Nine and Telltale equally so I think I'm gonna have to watch The Expanse, see what's the story with it.
Was going to say who but the link shows they do great work!
Heads-up if anyone is after a Pocket (handheld that plays loads of existing carts). Pre orders are up again on the 14th
The Expanse is the best sci-fi show in the last decade, and absolutely worth watching. Final season just out now as well, so we'll get a proper ending.
Curios to see what Telltale do with the licence.
Not sure about the proper ending part. They pretty much went with 1 book = 1 season with some stuff bleeding in between them. That's 4 books they've to cover in 1 short season assuming they'd forewarning about the cancelation or this will just be book 6 stuff.
Im sure the Expanse will have a satisfying finale, but given this season is just six episodes there won’t be much room to cover anywhere near the book content left.
The creators have said they’d be absolutely open to making more so we’ll see if yet another streaming service is feeling generous (unlikely IMO).
But yes, the show is fantastic and 100% worth watching :)
Jesus that Unreal 5 Matrix Demo is **** amazing!
They aren't doing any of the book stuff after the 6th. Haven't read them, but from what i've heard, thats a decent point to end it.
I read the sixth book after the last series of the show and it does a good job wrapping up the ongoing arc so there's definitely good landing room for the show. A bit of a shame they have to wrap up in six episodes rather than the usual ten though!
Season / book 6 is a good place for the show to end its Belter arc ...but the larger mysteries will remain unanswered. So if there's a season 7 of the TV show it'll be off the back of fans and social media clamouring for those answers.
I came in to say this. Yeah, it's not perfect, but what you can do already is amazing. No loading, no draw distance. It's an excellent demo of what is to come.
