A big name for LATM, she'd sell a few dates there
Shawn Mendes in 3 Arena on May 2022
Does NG play some of the Oasis hits such as Acquiesce for example?
When I saw him in Malahide back in 2019 his setlist composed of half his solo material and the rest Oasis considering he wrote them all, ill be honest he doesnt get the crowd going mental like Liam, but he is still very good live. I'll link the setlist there that he played in Malahide so youve an idea, I actually think his solo catalogue is very good despite peoples opinions which i think are just based on the fact he broke up Oasis.

I'm very content with my gigs for 2022 and really really hope they all go ahead as planned
Yea I've seen him a few times and it's always a good mix of solo and oasis stuff. Definitely getting tickets for this as especially for the price, support and the bank holiday weekend makes it a no brainer for me
A little off topic. But considering Noel wrote them, how is it that Liam gets to play Oasis songs live. If their relationship is that strained, you'd think that Noel would stop Liam having anything to do with them. I don't know the legal position.
Anyone can play anyone elses song live. Mark Chapman could play a set of John Lennon covers if he wanted. Happiness is a Warm Gun, Come Together......
Legally, when releasing DVDs etc of the gig then there are agreements in place with regard to publishing. ie Noel banned Liam from using Oasis songs in Liams documantary.
Villagers playing Iveagh Gardens on Thursday 14th July. https://twitter.com/foggynotions/status/1468220265868177412?t=OqufXVmd7_Kn6_d3lBwDHg&s=19
Wish Oasis would just get back together
They would make a killing from it
This was originally supposed to be in Vicar St. Ho hum.
Tickets onsale Friday
Saw them loads of times. Fairly shite live band.
The 3 gigs in Vicar st cancelled - 11+12+13 dec. 🙄
The day is more about the experience ie Drink & Yokes same with some other Madchester bands live
Never saw them together sadly
Yup posted that in cancelled thread
Obviously depends on how much you like their music and the people you go with. I've seen them easily 10 times and apart from a festival, Oxegen I think it was that turned into a mud fight which ruined the gig. Every other gig was class. Thats going back as far as their first gig in the Point in 94.
Sounds like a great day out in fairness.
Wondered that myself, I actually read up on it and i think that because he may have a writing credit he can sing/perform the songs, i could be wrong here but I actually think that if a band/act plays a song that isnt their own work they have to pay a royalty fee or something along those lines because they are profiting off of playing someone elses work, now i dont know if thats accurate or how that could even be regulated because we do have tribute acts which obviously violate that, it is odd and there must be some agreement between the two brothers, correct me if im wrong though
Update: Venue has to pay for a few licenses, act can then play whatever they want, when i looked it up theres a few venues that only allow orginal work to be played e.g Troubador , to not pay the fee's, there you go 🤣
Rumours going around that RATM are due to be announced for Reading/Leeds and Rock En Seine in the morning, if they dont play EP could they go for Slane with a strong support?
Strong would be an understatement, maybe sunstroke with FNM?
Saw one of the bands playing reading and leeds bring me the horizon, said they were happy the arctic monkeys are playing alongside them, ive noticed the last couple of years that the acts that play the RDS also play reading the next week/around the same time, the scenes if arctic monkeys or even RATM are put in the RDS obviously it would be RATM for me, wasnt impressed with Arctic Monkeys last time they played
Same in my experience really, they were average to brutal mostly... despite having serious resources the people doing the sound for them must have been hired from the school for the deaf... one exception was on the Heathen Chemistry tour back in ‘02... i was doing a course for work in Paris, I went along to the Zenith and they played a stormer, saw them about four or five times and that was the only gig I could say was very good.... wouldn’t bother again I was just having the same conversation with my cousin and he’s the same...
Anyone can play someone else's music. Performers should submit to IMRO what they played live (their own music and covers) and then royalties are paid out as appropriate to the creator(s).
from IMRO website:
In addition to all the information you supply to IMRO about your own gigs, IMRO is also continually surveying venues throughout Ireland to determine which works are being performed live. To supplement this information we also monitor all the National Press and all the major magazines finding out what gigs are on by established artists in established venues.
What can you do?
Ask the artist to send in their complete set lists to IMRO or, alternatively provide the set list to you which you can then pass on to IMRO. This set list should contain all the songs the artist performs, not just your songs.
If this proves to be difficult please provide IMRO with a contact number for the artist’s management or agent.
Reading Festival 2022 have announced their initial lineup.
Gives some clues as to who will be about towards the end of next Summer.
RATM, Arctic Monkeys and Wolf Alice would all be welcome visitors to our shores.
Good to see Fontaines DC high up on the bill.

Wolf Alice are already playing the Olympia for 2 nights as things stand!
Thanks for the heads up, completely missed that!!
Idles will be great at 50% capacity, whilst sitting down.
Why was it changed from Vicar Street? This would have been brilliant there.
What is the sound like in The Helix for a band like TTB?
Could be a bit of a spred out tour for Bruce if the rumoured RDS dates (6th/8th/10th May) and that German date for 10th June are true
Still feels a bit iffy given the dates and the fact Soccer/Rugby seasons will still be ongoing
Surely irish promoters must be seeing the amount of June gigs and are planning for the other summer months
No Leinster rugby games in RDS between weekends of april 1st/2nd/3rd and May 20/21/22 apart from an uncomfirmed european knock out game so RDS could certainly host concert or two in that time
Dont think it is a bit iffy because of the dates. With so little having gone ahead in the last two years 2022 is going to be sodom and gomorrah for concerts/live events so it will be mental for most/all of the summer
