Have to agree and I was the same at the beginning - I was interested to see what TOL could offer and I do believe there is a huge potential for fundraising but that well seems to have been badly poisoned now.
Hopefully the international fundraising potential which is almost unique can be harnessed.
The further that weirdo is away from Mayo football though the better.
there clearly is money within mayo when they could in a week sell 35 10 ticket packages for the AI final at 5000 euros a pop for a cool 175k clear profit - nice work!
Hi Tim,
Are you doing any drunk tweeting these days?
the buck stops with Chairman Liam Moffat who should have checked the secretary report and deleted the derogatory comments about dublin GAA
what is the difference between Tim OLeary Horanout tweet after a 9 point mauling and what secretary dermot butler said in his report
i would say nothing as both bring mayo gaa into disrepute and both were stupid and dont not use their brains! Oleary apologised within 24hrs but was binned for cost of 250k while dermot butler is running for vice chairman sunday - god help us
I happen to agree with you re Butlers comments, there is almost if not total agreement that he should have kept his mouth shut.
When the smart, capable, progressive guys like Liam Moffatt step back people of the calibre of Butler are what's left.
Lads like yourself with your agenda will be delighted.
Liam Moffatt could not manage all the moving parts and the job was too big for him. He clearly cant control Butler while the same can be said of James Horan who dictated all matters like when club matches are played.
my agenda is to see mayo gaa run properly and professionally. They should use the 175k raised to hire a proper full time CEO and run mayo gaa as a business. If you do things properly OFF the pitch, there is a far greater likelihood things are done better on the pitch
That's the most intelligent contribution you've made.
thanks!
Wondering if the most recent interaction on this thread involves any Mayo fans in Chicago, or people who use a handle of that nature on other sites?.
Seems to be a remarkably similar line of posting.
i would stick to playing cards in the casino !
.
😄
Certainly wasnt performance enhancing drugs anyway
Badly caught out there, even Willie Joe put a link to it on the blog (maybe the first time ever that's happened) laughed my arsè off when I saw it.
I'd expect Mayo man in London will be re regging now,I'm afraid there's no comeback from that.
Lads is the Knockmore game televised/streamed anywhere?
I saw TOL’s letter to clubs, plenty of accusations. He does have some good points but these get lost in the flood of vendettas.
he talked about how the treasurer was trying to fudge things by switching the accounting year to end of September when in actual fact the GAA are moving to a September month end - HQ has mandated that all clubs and boards do the same. Depending on where their month end was previously a lot will have short years
@Loafing Oaf it got moved from Saturday to Sunday so I presume it’s on TG4 but haven’t seen that anywhere
No, seems to be a Leinster game at that time
Connacht GAA apparently streaming it
Hi Green&Red
New to this forum but am happy to engage in public any issues people may have with my revelations this week. I stand by the following
1) mayo gaa cannot progress until they address the debt on MacHale Park. Extending it to 50 years is not a solution and will effect our children/grandchildren for years to come. Look what Kerry achieved today ?
2) the accounts reported by Mayo GAA do not give a fair and accurate assessment of where mayo gaa are financially. They have been manipulated to suit the current regime ahead of convention. Happy to debate further if you wish.
3) the allegations of behaviour by an individual of the mayo gaa executive are 100% factual and are not for debate. Dermot Butler has withheld his apology letter to Carne Links until after convention Today. This letter will be in the public domain shortly
I am no saint but if you think swearing and abusing a woman like butler did is acceptable then there is no further debate
mayo gaa cut all ties with me because of my #horanout tweet which I apologised for within 24hrs. I happily accepted that sanction (saved me a lot of dough) on the premise that these standards would be maintained going forward.
This has not happened. Dermot butler has No remorse for his actions and his arrogance in running for vice chairman only shows again what he about.
Let's see next week when the letter is released
And that's the edited version?
God,this is embarrassing.
I'm making a early news years resolution.
I'm not visiting this page again till the start of the league.
Can people just quit with the O'Leary stuff, or bring it to HS ore the blog or wherever
100%
Its infiltrated everything now, toxic sh1te,I don't know what you think will change between here and the start of the league?
Agendas across all platforms coming in from pretty much one source (and a few eejits following him on twitter)will spoil any football talk in January aswell.it actually impressive in a way but it's fùcked it up rightly for lads who wanted to have a chat/debate/argument on here or the blog (twitter has been a no go for years)
Any sign of league fixtures ????? I’m waiting for them to book a hotel break for one of the games as a Cmas present for my wife :D
jaysis I'd get some reaction if I presented her with a trip to a mayo match as her present. you're a lucky man :D
I'm sure she'll stay at the spa 😜
Ah now. I can't be splashing out on a hotel with a spa
:D
