There's a truly awful ad for whatever panto Alan Hughes (TV3/ VM tv presenter) is in, bleating on about Sammy Sausages or some such crap. It's repeated so often, I am going to have to find a station that doesn't play it, until it's well and truly over.
Haven't heard the one with the woman, but I think the one with the guy is awful, tbh. The premise of it, I mean.
Just heard the one with the woman. I get the idea, obviously. But surely you would sound a little bit sympathetic to the person who had to miss the party. Instead it's almost like 'woohoo, great party, we didn't miss you at all, shame about the old covid though, eh'...
Has the one with kids screaming IT'S A GAIETY PANTO come on yet?
Thankfully I haven't heard it so far, but that other one with Alan Hughes is threatening the little bit of sanity I like to think I have.
Fcuking hell, that Butlers chocolates Christmas add is back. The incredibly poor attempt at pulling at the nostalgia heart strings as with the Barry's Tea Xmas offering. It's just fake, tacky and over done, like their chocolates...
That's been running for a while now on RTE Radio 1 anyway. The Little Muuuuurmaid.....
My God the Martin Gear jewellers ad with the choir repeating the address, unbelievably irritating. Wouldnt buy from them simply because of that ad
Oh I hate that one.
There is another one for Ben Dunne Gyms...with the most idiotic tagline at the end saying that other gyms are so small your couldn't fit a fly in them....ughhh
It's a dig at FLYEfit. I didn't cop it at first.
Still an awful ad. All his ones are.
One hopes not - but i'm assuming that Bothar will be keeping a low profile this year after the scandal involving missing funds!
Didn't know that.
Awful indeed.
The Gareth Brukes ads have commenced, stetsons at the ready
!!! Yesterday was my first time hearing it - was it on the go last year?? Mad... Anyway, yes, here for this. You're right: shameless attempt to recreate the Barry's Tea ad for the under-35s. What cod-golden age of Irish retail are they harking after? Those cosy days of the Celtic Tiger when Daddy would surprise Mummy with 2 tickets for a weekend's shopping in NYC? Get up the yard, Butlers Chocolates...
Sorry I know I've mentioned this one already but it seriously annoys me!! The opening line 'radio, it can really take you back', yeah, ok, and?! There's no further reference to radio, no songs, no themes, what's the relation or connection to radio or was that just a random statement?!
She says mum was 'fuming', hah, yeah she sounds like she's fuming alright. The woman doing the adult voiceover, it's just her putting on a kids voice then for her younger self.
I shouldn't let it bug me but it just does. I hope it was maybe first year media studies or some such that put these together and that no one was given any serious money!!
I copped the FLYEfit dig straight away
I don't think his ad's are meant to be good, Dunne would be the first to admit this
Ah jaysus as if we didn't have enough about that cowboy cosplaying festival already.
Good thing is tickets sell out immediately so we won't have to endure it for long 🤠
It's "Fin-tastic"! The only part of the ad I like - it's such a bad pun, it's good!
Heard the Rhinestones ad for the first time this year! Nearly December, I thought it was a gonner!
The spice lad from Wisht Cark and his added 'magic' to Supermacs food.
wrong thread
Seems it was so awful that it was pulled and replaced with a similar ad but voiced by a woman, I heard it yesterday on Nova. Maybe Ben Dunne's 'charisma' was having a negative effect on his sales drive...
The TK Maxx one with the voice over encouraging us to go big this Christmas because we deserve it after the time we've had.
Meadows & Byrne is back.....
The background music on Newstalk's latest murdersploitation podcast.
The one with a D4 accented brat of a young fella talking about "his business".
Let the team know I couldn't do this without them....
Let me give it my all....
That one? 😂
Yeah think that's it.
The AIB one with the skipping Clannad record.
