Its best to ignore losers like that. He knows whether hes telling the truth or not, its best to keep attention on the case & subsequently himself for his sales.
Well, he gets challenged by people, and doesn't ever respond. This is a good tweeter 👌
He's right in that there was someone there,
but he has got the wrong person.
If it was Bailey it wouldn't have taken him an hour.
Think someone whose dabs would have been expected to be there, not Alfie or Shirley.
Most likely Nick Foster was given the Bailey job from day one. To start out as some objective but fair, tenacious truth-seeker who finally comes to the "I just know" conclusion that happens to be something the Irish/French police are delighted with. A Brit, basically.
Ultimately the idea is to keep peddling this line until Bailey dies. I wish Ian Bailey, one of our own, the Centenarian Bounty.
Did Bailey own a radio to scan the police frequencies? It's not uncommon for journalists to have one of those, and he might have heard about the murder this way?
No, he owned a radio. That's how he first heard about the murder on the 2pm news. Give over with the nonsense.
The point is that multiple people could have heard the garda radio at that time. News travels fast in the west of Ireland
Especially the last statement, I truly believe.
I also recall, back in the 90ies that FM scanners with police as well as air bands were available in specialized shops. I was rather surprised that their sale wasn't restricted as it was in many other European countries.
How do you know?
I see you two are off again! 🙄😆
The only point worth considering around early knowledge of the murder has to do with Eddie Cassidy lying through his teeth about when he knew of it. That's not my opinion, it was the DPP's.
Perhaps he heard the radio then?
It wasn't uncommon for journos to do this. Heck, I did it in my teens for the craic.
Read the DPP's report. It's no mystery, a Guard told Eddie VERY early, about 11am
I have of course. The garda radio occurred almost an hour earlier however, so it's possible it leaked even before Cassidy was told.
The murder would have been on the police band airwaves the minute it was reported and police cars were called out to the scene. Anybody who had such a radio could have listened and would have known.
Either Bailey had such a radio himself, or knew someone who had how gave him the information.
Had considered this...also the Sunday tribune editor..can't be arsed to look up her name.. considered Baileys caustic retort, as a "Confession/admission of guilt"
When she told him word was he "did it" he replied "yeah..to jump start my career"
What is strange is both Eddie cassidy and Sunday tribune lady( a barrister no less, not that that's a credential) both went out of their way to throw bailey under the bus..
Ian Bailey trending on twitter..
Seems to be due to Big Issue interview where he reveals he got a 'Dear John' letter from Jules
https://m.sundayworld.com/news/irish-news/ian-bailey-reveals-his-profound-shock-after-partner-jules-thomas-dumped-him-by-letter-41106682.html
Seems a cold way of ending it but cant say I blame her after everything she's been through including the isolation she received from her own family because of Bailey. How on earth is it trending on twitter though? Is it really that desperate on twitter these days
The machinery of the state went in to overdrive with a cover-up.
I'm not sure it's trending on twitter tbh.
Unfortunately foster is probably the only one trending today due to yet another "challenge" to a debate for ian. The man who won't even answer anyone who challenges his lies, hearsay and conjecture.
Only a few weeks of Christmas sales left for his book tho 🙄🤦♀️
How do you know he didn't have a garda scanner? I would say he probably did and I raised the possibility weeks age. A UK journalist who was good at his job coming to a small area where any stories might have a garda involvement would not have garda scanner?
shows how crooked cassidy is. he was caugt lying by phone records and still persisted
If he did have one... Would he not just admit having one explaining more simple how he heard about stuff?
Especially if not illegal here.
Welcome back 😄
It's usual in many countries that journalists listen to police band on the radio for any stories unfolding. It's not unlikely for Bailey to have owned one.
Back then it was also easy, as the police band was analog, today in the digital age, I'd suggest the Guards are using digital radios like many other police forces and they are hard to listen to, as there is a code as well for the transmission and reception.
The other question would be if the murderer also had such a radio? He could have listened to things unfolding over the air with ease. However this question will most likely never be answered.
Back in the 1990ies I recall a shop on Bachelor's Walk in Dublin which sold such radios, apparently all legally. They were clearly exhibited in the the show window.
I wonder, did they check Alfie's phone records to see who he phoned that morning to "check they were all ok"?
Precisely
That’s rich, coming from you
You are deeply out of touch. He wasn’t a ‘mover and shaker’ in the ‘smoke world’ as you refer to it. He was gifted plants, cultivated them and smoked weed. The tobacco hurt him, not the cannabis itself. YOU are the raging finger-pointing paranoid - you’re projecting.
Lol. And who might you be? 3 posts saying precisely nothing is quite a stellar contribution.
Have you anything interesting to add to the topic at all?
Let me guess. You're one of those twitter loons who got bored and wandered off the reservation over to here.
Sounds like very bad luck that he should get busted for something so innocent?
I don't believe I've seen you here before, but funny you should want to distract from where we are, given that any discussion around Alfie has been exhausted.
