Frank Turner has announced irish dates for April 8th Belfast, 9th Cork and 10th Dublin
*Does happy dance*
At least one show where I don't have to get a plane/train/bus. And 2 where I can sleep in my own bed.....
Looks like literally anyone is being put in 3Arena with Peterson getting a night there
He got a big crowd last time he was there with Sam Harris and Douglas Murray.
But yes since Livenation took full control of the 3Arena, they have literally put everyone and anyone in there.
I suppose they can vary the layout so that the capacity goes from 5k to 13k as its a very flexible venue.
There are very few sold out events there anymore.
Yeah it's a good venue, perfect facilities, and like you said, they can curtain off bits of the upper tier to make it feel more intimate.
Never heard of him
What kind of show does he do ?
Jazz fusion
A Saturday in cork, unreal
Blue are playing Waterfront Hall on 11 September 2022 and Olympia Theatre on 12 September.
Stephen Fretwell is playing Voodoo, Belfast on February 24th and Whelans, Dublin on February 26th.
Tickets obtained, happy customer.
Darn was expecting his style to be Mongolian Throat singing
Theres literally no chance of this going ahead.
Ridiculous venue, and the tickets are almost 100 euro for seats.
The Black Eyed Peas struggled to sell out 3-5000 seat venues on their last UK tour.
Restrictions are back, was fun while it lasted, may as well chalk off anything planned for January, absolutely fuming with the shifting of the goalposts
Gavin James has an announcement tomorrow morning. Guessing an outdoor show so maybe trinity
Radio Nova are announcing a major rock gig sometime this morning??.
Could it be Noel G? They are playing him now and they were joking saying they could play it but not sat it until 10am?
Noel G and Two Door Cinema Club for St Anne's Park in June
Meh
Any idea on ticket prices for this??
Would I be naive in hoping that they would be €60ish??
The Cure on 1st December 2022 in 3 arena, support from twilight sad
June yet again, ffs .
our 'government' will make sure none of these happen, unless you have the 17 jabs, and 2 pcr tests before you enter into your plastic bubble pod for each of the 500 people allowed in.....
RIP outdoor/indoor gigs and/or the live music 'industry' ....
Anyone here think we'll actually get gigs next year? I have War On Drugs and Two The National tickets, but even I'm thinking just to go see them abroad instead. At least you'll have a high chance of seeing them.
Only thing which makes me think it'll happen is the substantial amount of money that has been spent on gigs for next year.
I think hot press said €50 plus tm charges which if true is a steal. Plus its on the June bank holiday which is handy.
Also MCR announced a 2nd date in kilmainham for the 25th
I've tickets to both too and hoping they will go ahead alright. See The National are playing All Points East in London in August with Kurt Vile, Fleet Foxes etc and would be tempted
Fantastic. I didn't know War on Drugs had announced a gig for Ireland. That has brightened up my Monday - really hope it goes ahead. I only saws them the once. In vicar St. It was brilliant in the main. I remember it going on a bit too long. Got a bit draggy. THat being said, I'd give anything now for a 2.5 hour gig.
Olivia Rodrigo playing the Marquee next summer. https://twitter.com/LATMofficial/status/1467856360712855557?t=k_tVJr-cp-s-Gn0mkqZd6w&s=19
There's going to be a massive issue staffing these gigs, especially if we don't get south American students back next summer. There's an absolute lack of security and hospitality staff, so I don't know where they'll pull the numbers from.
Also doing fairview Park
Coldplay announced more dates in south america and have also mentioned there are still more dates to be announced around the world so theres still hope theyll come over, happy out with Noel Gallagher & Two door cinema club having seen both before I know that it will be well worth it
