Work Leave Hospital Apt - asked to show apt card

Hello,

I asked my employer for time off for a Hospital appointment and they asked to see the appointment letter - prior to the appointment. I am going to black out the details, department, doctor and procedure. Is it legitimate for them to ask am I wrong to Probus provide the details

It's exactly as it says and you get it on the way out the door

If we have to attend hospital appointments, we don't have to show proof of appointment in advance, but we do have to provide proof of attendance.

Usually whoever is running the check in for the clinic will have pre-printed attendance letters where they just fill in your name and date, if you ask for one (no other details).
