Nah is Tesla pushing more expensive purchase. You can get Feb delivery with 18" if you choose white interior or any other paint color but white. Sellers market
Anyone buy a Tesla through their limited company? Been considering it after a solid 2021.
don’t want to wait 5 months though
Just bit the bullet and switched to a LR from the inventory for a Dec delivery!
Does the LR being delivered come with heating steering wheel? Only mentioned front and rear seats in the details of the car, but I presume it does seeing as the SR+ (or plan M3) now comes as standard.
I'm sure it will as the P & LR always had the premium interior which would have included the heating steering wheel since it was available.
You're next dilemma is (after collection) to pay the €1,700 or so to bring the acceleration down from 4.4s to 3.9s.... or save it for a later present to yourself to spruce up the car down the line.
€1700 for 0.7s!
if you just told people you’d paid for the upgrade but didn’t, no one would ever know the difference 😏
presumably the SR folks will be charged almost this in the near future to get back that 0.5s
that said, how much would a remap cost on e.g. a golf R, for about 0.5s gain?
It is actually 1.8k for 0.5s but I don't have this dilemma. Maybe if I win the 19M jackpot. Congrats on the choice. Beside the heated steering wheel it comes with mats :). Joke aside dual motor setup, bigger battery and upgraded sound system are the major differences. Due to the grants it is quite a difference in price. Few years ago I bought a car with the amount.
I took delivery in Dec last year - Great early Xmas present to yourself!
Just got my pick up scheduled, 15th Dec!
I had already bought the all weather mats in advance of my expected SR+ December delivery.
I came very close to purchasing a MS and was looking at the 100d ones available.... To be honest, I was all over the place and so just decided to make a damn decision and went with the LR, and I'm delighted now!
Can't see myself paying for that 0.5s but let's see.... Looking forward to just living with the car and seeing how it serves us
Nice, congrats!
When did you make the order?
A mere 7 days ago.
Fair play, did the same and had my delivery scheduled for 13th December within an hour of switching. Can’t wait!!
Only one LR left in the inventory now BTW….just in case anyone else is on the fence!
What spec did you order? I put in an order 6 days ago!
LR, there was one new in inventory.
Someone nabbed the Black with white interior on the 19" wheels!
I think there were 4 still there this morning
Wow that is fast! I didn't get anything like that sort of response. I got an email this evening from Tesla delivery team asking to confirm if I wanted to cancel the SR+ order. I'm hoping I might get a delivery notification tomorrow 🤞
What SR+ spec did you have on order?
Red paint with white interior.
Went for silver on the LR
You?
I emailed/called them directly and asked to switch my order so they did it there and then. Didn’t lose the €100 deposit either, which was a nice touch!😀 give them a shout, fingers crossed you get the heads up soon!
Blue with white interior. Due March I believe. Guess yours will show in inventory sometime?
There'll be a blue black cancelation in Feb. I'll hold my order open till then as they don't refund deposits even if your waiting 7 months.
Might mean an extra car on the long boat from China.
Blue black would do me grand, but some people just want white interior, so white it is!
I'll get the excitement of getting a vin in my source code for 100 euro. Awful Tesla expireance thought it might be a new freshing approach but its a complete cluster ##$#!
notwithstanding that everyone is an early adopter of new technology and therefore a bit more patient, I wonder how long before folks just cancel and move elsewhere, i.e they are no longer a ‘Tesla only’ buyer and just become a ‘car buyer’ again. it’s becoming a very competitive price category
Welcome to the world of Tesla. You only need to go back through this thread and it is apparent this is the norm.
Demand has been steadily increasing year on year for the M3 so folks are not going elsewhere in any serious numbers.
Im considering doing it alright, it may be worthwhile. I've been doing enquiries and the biggest hurdle so far seems to be finding decent company car insurance that isn't sky high.
I think I red somewhere Polestar is coming to us next year. That might chip away some demand. But to be honest I doubt it. It may chip away more demand from S90/M3 or 5 series.
This morning driving to work I downloaded 40.6 software update which is poised to be a big thing adding way-points and alternative routes to navigation but also live streaming of built-in cameras. Now sitting at my desk I can choose to install it from the app. As Bjorn said "Because we are in 2021". Can anybody do that? Preconditioning before starting to charge. They just opened for most of the charging networks. All this little bits make the car better as it gets older. Others are just fixing things which are not working. Basic things like charging.
Just an FYI that the live streaming feature is US only for now. Will probably come here in a couple months unless there's some EU prevention going on
No issue with that my issue was waiting 4 months but people in the UK were getting the same spec in 4 days. Ireland got totally shafted in Q4 deliveries.
