Since when is up to the Norwegian Post Office to care about, and raise awareness for, every single pressing issue in the world? They’re not Amnesty International, they’re perfectly entitled to choose one example of inclusivity and to focus on it.
In fact I would imagine most cigar-chomping ad execs would agree that focusing on one topic is better for a thirty second commercial than try to tick all the underprivileged boxes.
As for your remarks about helping the homeless and the poor, Norway has one of the lowest homeless population as well as one of the lowest poverty in the world (both at less than half of one percent). However the numbers of homophobic hate crimes actually rose in Norway in 2017 and 2019. So maybe you and your ilk can hold your noses a little bit when Santy kisses a bloke and just get over it, yeah? That goes for the rest of the homophobes posting in this thread.

I'm not talking about the Norwegian Post office though am I? I'm talking about the Advertising Agency that they hired to do the actual advert. And all of those agencies are the same, they want to make a name for themselves, they want to make money, both for themselves and potential/shareholders. Nothing wrong with that, that is their remit. But to twist into some sort of narrative that this is being done for the 'good of humanity' in a some sort of altruistic vein, is total and utter absolute hypocritical Bull$hit.
How many of those other Norwegian adverts ended up plastered all over the likes of 'The Guardian' or 'The Independent' or 'Sky News' like this Santa kiss one?

And it doesn't, Gay and Lesbian people don't need the f**king Norwegian Post office, or anybody else in any other sort of corporate mindset to 'validate' their lifestyle whatsoever. Well, that's just your own biases and preferences shining through about a selective topic the advertising companies have latched onto in order to making more money for themselves. But you have no problem with that so you should stick with it and keep fighting for whatever that is.
I'm seeking more inclusivity for everybody, especially the vast majority that actually need it in this current era of far more pressing issues. If that in your eyes somehow sees me falling into a 'rights rhetoric' or 'right wing rhetoric', there's not a lot I can do about that.
