Enjoyed it myself. Any chance there was less toys to calm kids wish lists if there is supply issues this year?
I fell asleep reading the 3yo stories, my 7yo had to wake me for fear she missed the toy show. I had to struggle away through it until my OH came home from work and I crawled into bed.
it’s not my cup of tea and im not a fan of Ryan. My little girl liked it. She’s learning lion king songs for her musical theatre so she was delighted.
I never understand the absolute love or absolute hate for it.
The crowd in the audience seemed to enjoy it, although I dunno how they didn’t melt in their rig outs.
Weird time of teh day to be awake, I find I overthink problems that don't really feature in the light of day, I second the remedy of whiskey and seven up.
It's next winter that bales will be expensive. Lads will cut back on expensive fertlizer. That will reduce crops. Many may do as I plan to do and reduce my silage area.
I have about 270-280 bales at present. About 160-180 bales should carry me to the end of March. That will leave a surplus of over100 bales. If I make 150 next year I should be ok( I can always adjust my stock purchase numbers)
First cut will drop back to 16 acres from 22. That will give me 120-130 bales. I will pick up another 30-50 out of strong paddocks. 10 acres of second cut will see me hitting above the 150 comfortable.
25 is not exactly expensive. I left it at that as there a couple of years old but the op said there good. some lads got 30 a bale collected last year for fresh stuff. It will be dear enough in spring for those who want it I agree it will be dearer the year after
No I would not consider 25 expensive for good or even fairly good silage. 25 used to just about cover costs. I have costed it at 25/ bale in my case. If you use projected fertlizer costs and contractors and plastic will probably increase prices next year then bale silage will be costing 35 to make.
There’s no end of adds on DD at the moment & silage not moving
Loads of fodder out there. This and last year were excellent years for grass growth. After the couple really long winters we had a few years ago lads started to aim for to have extra in the yard.
Like I said I would not be afraid of this year. It's spring 2023 I be worried about
A local lad here was supposed to be roofing his shed 4 weeks ago and it still hasn't happened. Now I don't know the full details of why or what but the same fellow wouldn't be generous with paying out euros
Maybe he got word of a price drop. It is a serious job though and big credit due to him in the work he has done since taking over the farm a few years ago.
I’d rather watch paint dry than listen to that clown tubridy.
You couldve used the sign language version in that case.
My Oz OH never got into the Late late show so we never watch it. I’ve never seen a full show of any description since Gaybo.
But the little lady came home from school about it.
she ended up waking me at 11pm crying saying the OH sent her to bed. if she’s not in bed by 8, she gets fair whingy.
The OH or the child
I'm abit the same. Bought a shed here in March. Never put it up as the sheeting doubled in the space of three weeks of getting the steel frame. So it's in the ground here where it came off the trailer
See the head of revolut is giving 100k euro to the late late toy show charity as there was a glitch in their system last night and people who wanted to donate couldn't . Fair play
No comment your honour.
Not only that, but he has pledged to match anything that's given through revolut this weekend up to a maximum of a million
I’m off the drink now so that solution is out.
If its to do with a full capital tax takeover then ifac be more competitive but either them or fdc will be more then €1000 for that.
I doubt either would have standard prices for annual work, it would depend on a few different factor's.
Chat to both and get yourself comfortable with the person you're dealing with. I wouldn't be choosing based on a difference of few euro on that type of thing.
I wouldn't go outside either of those 2. Farm accounts need tax advice to be specialist.
FDC charge based on how many cows you milk. Any excuse.
It’s for when I take over. Ensure I’m doing it right and by the book but also in a way to improve the place a bit without eating into my main job.
They’ll be free for me so. 😂
only 12 suckler cows here
Brought cattle in today, no shortage of grass but test on Tuesday, but they can stay in now. It's been a great few months for grass.
Bringing mine in for test on Wednesday too, to stay in I'd imagine.
Well it's great to bring them in so late with fields left in such good condition.
Brought mine in today as it is a bit of a trudge to look at them morning and evening in the dark. Could leave them out for another 2 weeks. It's 95 since we had cattle out in December
I'm leaving mine out for a few more days to be able to say they were out in December.
I have 17 friesian weanling heifers out on Macamore ground still. For those of you not near Wexford, mqcamores are a heavy marly clay soil. Usually closed by the end of October on a reasonably average year. They are doing zero damage.
The ground at home is far drier but closed to try have early grass🤞
If I was a toy supplier I'd be torn between having my stuff get nationwide exposure, and having Tubridy rubbish/kick/throw it around......
We had them in for a few days but let them off out again yesterday morning. The wandered back in late afternoon themselves but were happy out for the day.
