Great offer. Remember to put a reminder in your calendar to cancel before the 12-months expire.
Edit: Suggest using PayPal to pay because the Times website currently has some issues with card payments.
Very decent offer. They are a pain in the hole to cancel with though - so make sure you set a decent reminder for yourself. Thanks OP
excellent offer!
not the people i talk to - I ring to cancel because the price has been increasing to 10 a month every 6 months
they couldn't be nicer, which is possibly why I end up resubscribing at €5pm but if i wanted to cancel, it would have been done there and then.
(i call the irish number - 015360818 - freephone i assume is the same - 1800949687)
I'll definitely be cancelling now though!
heads up for anyone who still has the epaper version of the app (it's called times classic now) - you'll still be able to use a new login if you already have the app installed.
If you never had it, this sub will give you access to their current app, but for me the epaper is a far superior way to read it.
Correct. But this will only work for Sunday Times content. Times content needs the new app (called universal) to display correctly on the tablet.
Thats a great price. Thx op. After you sub it also gives an email address for cancellations.
thanks for the tip. Great deal for 12 months
Anyone having an issue paying for this?
Getting a blank screen after trying to pay with revolut 3 x times on different devices.
There seems to be problems with Revolut at the moment.
https://www.irishtimes.com/business/financial-services/revolut-hit-by-major-problems-as-some-users-encounter-difficulties-using-app-1.4739946
I had the same issue with my KBC card. I then used my Revolut card, in the same browser, and it worked.
The issue is with The Times website as reported in this thread here: https://twitter.com/BrianFlanagan1/status/1464239252829618178
Some posters on Twitter say the issue does not occur if you pay via Paypal. Either that or keep trying.
I keep getting a £1 daily charge when paying on revolut.
Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: worked with PayPal
The £1 charge is a card identification charge that is reversed shortly afterwards and replaced with the 5 EUR charge.
No, I am trying as well and used 2 different methods, first one bounced me out and second one quoted the £1.00 and screen stayed frozen. When I hit reload got back to sign up page. I am using same eircode with different name but system must use eircode as I had a trial offer before, Or site has gone belly up.
Used PayPal without issue
pm me if anyone wants to split a membership
Thanks OP. Worked grand with PayPal, after trying two other cards.
Signed up there no problem via my Curve card. Now to cancel the old sub tomorrow 🙂.
Thanks OP.
Would you give over... Its cheaper than a pint. 😂🍻
Thanks OP. Used PayPal without any problems.
Thanks, a decent bargain at last here
I get the epaper on a daily basis - but Monday to Saturday only has UK content. Sunday has that and the limited Irish content
I had assumed the new universal app was the same - does it have irish content on a daily basis then?
How scabby are you??😏
How do you view the Irish edition of the Sunday Times on the e-paper? Downloaded the Irish edition app but e-paper only UK.
As an ex subscriber am I entitled to start again on this deal? Thanks
Tried it wante4.99 a month after a free months trial feck that
Be careful I tried it and they caught in I was an ex subscriber and wanted e4.99 monthly after a free months trial so no joy for me
Yes - Irish content 7 days a week, with bumper edition on Sunday. Make sure you have the Ireland version of the app and it should display Irish content first and UK after.
Different email address and a different physical address. All sorted.
Try another email.
Thanks I got the same advice from the tines chap in Twitter 😊but na I’m not going there, hard enough to keep up with my current one
appreciated
