Was listening to the OST from the polar express the other day & went down the Josh Groban wormhole to discover he has a christmas album (Noel) and the deluxe edition has 'Believe' from the polar express is included on it (it hadn't been on the original album release)... had a listen yesterday & its a fabulous addition to the christmas selection, cant believe I'd missed it up until now!!
Well there is we meet once a month.... we have plans to overthrow Halloween....
Oh I've said too much....
Ah boo, I thought there was secret Christmas mods/podcasters society that you were members of!
I reached out to him a while back and he was very kind in helping and producing some podcast episodes I did. Then baby came along and they've sat there un-edited since.... and most if not all are extremely dated by now haha.
That’s our @Loughc 👍😉 Mingles with the best of them 😄
Ooh, didn't realise you were on messaging terms! I'm impressed😉
Good shout! I really enjoy merry Britmas myself.
Ive messaged him to see if everything is alright. I’ll keep ye updated.
Am up to date on all the Christmas podcasts I listen to throughout the year but noticed that Merry Britsmas haven't had a new once since the short one in December, this is the longest he's gone post Christmas without a new episode so I hope its not a sign that there'll be no more episodes as I enjoy his podcasts, being UK based its closer to home in terms of traditions & suchlike than the American ones.
good man. I've a few to catch up on myself.
Added a few new Christmas Podcasts to my queue of Podcasts, using the Christmas ones to help bridge the gap between Christmas season and return to normality.
I will report in if any of the new ones are worth a listen!
RTE radio Sunday Miscellany has a Christmas themed episode of monologues and christmas tunes from the National Concert Hall

Sky Arts Classic Christmas... I saw it last year and it was repeated on the 7am slot during the week - slot to keep an eye on.
Tokio Myers with a sweeping piano version of Walking in the Air
A lively version of Christmas Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson
This is a simpler version from Tokio Myers

A very good Ross O Carroll Kelly this week... the Christmas Pudding... I think you can listen without having followed the series... its a short story in itself.

I watched The Knight Before Christmas this evening on Netflix. I had pretty low expectations, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. 🙂
I love Tom Hanks and was amazed I hadn't seen the polar express so sat down to watch it last night.
It was fun but underwhelming and the CGI/animation seemed a little creepy a times. I'm glad I've seen it but it won't be one to go on my annual re watch list.
My next two will probably be two new netflix ones A Castle For Christmas and Love Hard.
I'm loving The Chesnut Man on Netflix and Dopesick on Disney+ so I need some levity to balance it out.
BBC Radio have announced their highlights.

The wonderful "Conversations from a Long Marriage" starring Roger Allam and Joanna Lumley will return for a Christmas special.
The original Christmas special is available here via BBC Sounds (not geoblocked):
Interesting adaptations:
John Finnemore and Samantha Bond star in Moominland Midwinter; there’s the first radio adaptation of The Princess Bride.
Raiding the archives in the run up to Christmas on BBC Radio 4 extra:
* For fans of "The Box of Delights", an adaptation of another John Masefield fantasy, starring Charles Dance.
* Maeve Binch short story adaptations, including some set at Christmas
* For those who like their Christmas with some barbed wit, Rumpole of the Bailey at Christmas
I watched Last Chrsitmas for the first time.I knew the twist from seeing the trailer when the film came out but I enjoyed it.
Almost a twist on the Christmas Carol story with Kate's personal growth.
Have watched the first two episodes and really enjoyed it. Love the "tracksuit mafia".
Been a lot of hype around it, hearing ads for it everywhere.
The new marvel series Hawkeye landed this week and it’s set at Christmas in New York. Some of the shots are absolutely stunning.
This is surprisingly accurate.
The music one was very good I thought.
We watched the family stone at the weekend, very very strange movie. The dinner scene is very unusual, I am in no way the wokest but it would fit more into the 1920's than the 2020's. Apart from that it had Christmas and snow, we will probably never watch it again.
I have been listening to the countdown to Christmas podcast on spotify, currently on the food episode, very US oriented obviously.
Listening to Nigel Slaters podcast A Cooks Chronicles. Season one is based on his book The Christmas Chronicles, a nostalgic look at Christmas traditions, with the focus mainly on food. The book is beautiful, would recommend it as a gift for any Christmas loving foodie.
It is indeed. It’s on all available podcast feeds. (Not a plug)
Is this on spotify?
Listening to a new podcast The Christmas countdown Show and it’s a great listen!! Would highly recommend it.
