Hoping someone can help me. I have a holiday booked for June. If I get the call before then will they just defer me until after my holiday or will I have to cancel my holiday?
They ask you about leave during the call. I had none but I'm sure they work around it

How long roughly from your fitness test to getting a date for medical I completed my fitness near 4 weeks ago and still waiting for a medical date.
Anyone that’s been called to clarify anything on their vetting form, how long after sending your vetting away did you receive invite to clarify it? My vetting has been away nearly 6 weeks so thinking no news is good news…?
I got an email asking for further information approx 6 weeks after sending it. It was another 12 weeks before it got cleared.
I waited around 6/7 weeks after the PCA for my medical appointment to come through.
Got my date around 8 weeks after medical and the date was a further 5 weeks away. Not had it yet but it will have been around 13 weeks between PCA and medical.
So you just provided further info via email you weren’t called to an interview? That’s good if that’s the case
Yep, I answered their questions via email, heard nothing else until I got the email to say I'd passed.

My vetting has been away 6 weeks today also. Heard nothing but I suppose that’s nothing compared to what some people have waited on here. I just don’t understand why it takes so long.
That's a very short time.
Mine been away since June and still nothing yet. Some people been waiting 8 months. It varies from person to person.

Is it residential? Like stay up Monday to friday and home weekends or how does it work?
The radius to stay is 35 miles I think. Priority goes to those who live outside this radius and then you can potentially stay if there are free rooms available.
Do you have to stay or is it optional?
No it’s no longer required for you to stay at all :)
No I mean as in to ask for any additional info, I know it takes a long time for the whole thing to clear
Hi, if u get to live in, u can only stay Monday to Friday and u have to go home on Fri eve and come back on Monday Morning. In very rare cases they would allow someone to stay over the weekend, like being from England or you are indeed homeless. Hope this helps.
They asked me for additional info in August and I sent my forms off in June. I think it was just tick boxes I forgot to add. Never anything major.
so what date do calls usually go out? hoping to receive a call in Dec for a feb start. I am now appointable and hoping for a Feb start date. although I have holidays booked for 1st July so it may be a bit tight date wise depending on if they start on the very beginning of each month. would be gutted if i had to wait until Aug for the sake of a few days overlap

Anybody fail pca…go to some of the training sessions and decide to redo pca before the official date given?
Peeps that are already in training...do you use a small schoolbag type thing to move about with? I imagine there is books and files required for various lessons?

You aren't allowed bags but you have a locker. You don't need to buy a laptop, they can lend you them for remote week (limited) and there is a computer suite for training

For the medical section where you declare absence from work, is it just long periods of absence or every sick day? Also how long after PCA did you wait for medical date email?
