Black Friday digital subscriptions offer (irishtimes.com) - new accounts only (and possibly lapsed accounts - i got the previous offer on a lapsed account)
time to cancel existing and re-sub.
offer ends 30th November
I subscribe to The Times/Sunday Times (UK) for €5/month. The Times app is very good for reading the full paper even on my phone.
The last time I subscribed to The Irish Times I found it awkward reading the epaper. Is this still the same?
Does the digital content on the app give all the articles in the epaper?
How do you get the times app to read the full newspaper. Does it give you the full print version.
They updated The Times UK app (android) recently so I reverted to an older version that I liked.
With this version I can move between editions, supplements and content easily. For example I can select Sport and scroll along a menu which gives me all the articles in that section.
So in a way it's like the full epaper but much easier to move around.
I think it's a better app compared to The Irish Times.
A little off topic but....
I see that the Irish Independent online subscription are offering a Black Friday offer of e138 per family (&Friends) for the year for the Premium+ Sub (includes epaper access). If anyone is interested send me on a PM and I can set up a Family. Must be able to Revolut or Bank Transfer your share (e27.80) and Join a Sub Family group on Whatsapp for info and updates. Ill set it up as soon as I have 4 paid up members. Thanks
Will take a spot
Count me in
Will take a spot too if there's space left (PM sent).
Just send on your detail if you're interested. 1 spot left.
Another off topic comment but would anyone be interested in splitting a year sub to The Economist? I can get it for $94 /€84.
PM you
Family full.
Is the 12 months offer gone? When I click on link in 1st post I’m seeing half price for 3 months?
I’m in if there’s anybody else interested.
Family full
Open for PM for family plan also
You must be using a VPN (UK) or connecting from UK.
Full again
If the spot is still open, i'd be interested
Hi I'm interested in the Family plan for €96 per year if anyone has a slot?
I'll set up a family if I can get 4 more people who are interested.
Don't bother, you'll get the Economist free every month and back issues on the Irish library magazine app Libby.
https://lgma.iii.com/selfreg <- join the library here and then download the Libby app or use the online libby site with you library number and pin.
Your jaw will drop when you see all the amazing publication you'll get for free!
Irish Times is not there however
I'd be interested
Thanks Whimsical, was told about the app last night on another thread. Great app, seems to have most of the main publications and is nicely laid out.
Same. I’ll join
Interested also
would the comments on articles not be problematic for sharing accounts?
Think you have it now.
How does it work with multiple devices? Is it in use at any time or do you register a device? As i would use an iPad, phone or laptop at different times.
How do you still have it for €5 as I used to be on that but they stopped it.
I let it go then as the lack of Irish content on it made me feel I was reading British stuff about pro-Brexit and the Royal Family.
I rang to cancel because of lack of irish content, they said fair enough you can have it for another 6 months, and then another 6 months, at €5
or you cancel and re - sign up on the apple store for €5
I'll take a spot. Pm please
