I've used Irish and English cards along with Paypal, all with a valid English mobile number but no luck so far.
Tried Live Chat but the guy wasn't sure, he said it might be the fact the address was in ROI.
I told him as it was for collection, the address would only be for credit card verification.
Strange one all right.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogsmeade Village Visit House Set 76388

85 down to 55 then ask at the counter to use code TOYS20 to get a further 20% discount came in at 44e. Sweet"
does that toys20 apply to all toys, or only lego, or just this set?
I'm seeing more of this lately. Payments with a card issued from outside the jurisdiction being rejected. I have a feeling it's to do with PSD2 changes that were implement recently.
The TOYS20 code.. can that only be applied in store at the till, I couldn't see a way to add it when reserving.
Similar issue to some of you with trying to order online.... I used a One4All voucher to pay.... then the process freezes and no email confirmation of order. I emailed them yesterday but no reply yet and the money has been deducted from my card already... Has anyone had a resolution from them?
Argos don’t sell online in Ireland. You’d be taking a chance ordering via UK site.
How is argos with returns/refunds?
Bought a Switch for kids for Xmas about 10 days ago. Still unopened obviously.
Saw Smyth's doing offer for console + a game for the same price as I paid for just the console in argos.
30 days return with proof of purchase, item is unused, in its original packaging and in re-sellable condition.
T&C's are on the back of your receipt.
Ooops Wrong thread..
😳
What issues?
Wrong thread..
The toys20 offer have people been able to use this on any Lego set with no issues ?
Yea used it today on an already discounted set with no issue. Need to go to tills as there no way to put it in at self service.
i used it and it didnt work first time. another cashier tried it and it worked. they mentioned it hadnt worked on another lego set earlier
Was able to use the discount code no issues at all this morning the lady was unaware it could be used on Lego
staff are also now buying Lego due to this offer
also got a 10 euro voucher to use in dec to, how bad
It works on most, but not all.
I bought the Adidas Shoe and the Ghostbusters car.
It worked on the car, but not the shoe..
Although looking on HUKD it should have worked..
Having a nightmare trying to order a TV from the Argos website, 2 different cards, 2 different browsers and while it charges my cards I'm not receiving a confirmation. It hangs on the confirmation screen. Anyone else seeing this?
From which Argos web site? Argos Ireland don't allow you to pay online. Argos UK don't officially accept orders from Republic of Ireland.
What? Yes the Argos ie website, you can buy online for home delivery from Argos, we've done it before no bother. It takes cards etc. Well it does when working but it seems to be quite broken at the moment, I can't even apply the code TV10 on the TV any longer without their server erroring.
They're dropping the call now, they answered the call this morning. Something must have blown up...20 mins on wait...
Finally got through to someone and he said it's a known issue on the first order on the argos.ie website (which this is as I just created my account yesterday). He suggested using my wife's account or going into the store. Quality website.
Sorry, my mistake - they do of course for some items.
My wife's account is locked and can't be reset, so she tried ordering it in store to home delivery or to the store and they won't do it. No store will answer the phone and phone support haven't a clue what to do. What a shambles of a company.
This is happening to me, very frustrating as it's a great price for the TV I want. Tried everything myself.
I'll be ordering from Richer Sounds after work; Argos really dropped the ball today.
They wouldn't price match the one I wanted which is a shame as the warranty they offer is longer. Warranty in Ireland for electrical goods is fair use as far as I'm aware so their extended warranty is a bit of a cod.
They are generally good to deal with which Argos clearly aren't though. Just when you're going to spend a thousand quid on a TV, matching a 50 odd euro reduction over your price would be good form but I guess they gotta make their money. Happy to wait now for when next year's models come out and pick up one then as am in no rush, just a good deal on it with Argos pushed my hand.
Richer Sounds ran out of stock over the course of the evening so had to order from Harvey Norman, what a pain this was. Ended up with an LG instead of the Sony I wanted. I guess a Google TV dongle will be required if I want Google TV :(
Get a chromecast with Google TV. Its the berries...
whats on google tv ?.
