Supervalu have rashers called Nakd truth i think it is, similar packaging and a lovely rasher and all nitrate free.
I think they find it very hard to pull the far lane or the putter lane on motorway if the road is anyway busy
Hope your right
Anyone recommend a good Shri accountant in Clare area? I’m looking for someone to advise in gerneral as I’m hoping to take over farm early next year so want it started right. Are ifac any good? I know they’re around €1000+vat
I see Tara mines is shut down due to the mine flooding after they hit water while drilling a ventilation shaft.
Power is off in the area too, not sure if that's related.
Jaysus, I didn’t even know tara mines was still open?
Still the largest Zinc mine in Europe as far as I know. There's enough ore for many years to come the vein stretches from Navan to Tullamore and beyond.
Is it from there the trains would be drawing when you go on the trim road out of navan and where would they be going?
Yes, the only train currently traveling through Navan is from Tara Mines.
Similar problem in Gypsum industry is what caused the ground collapsing above the mines, huge areas still cordoned off above them.
Great...................
Until now I was just worried about my wells going dry 😯. Thanks _Brian
Has every one seen the Slurry Pits thread? AKA "openstreetmap.org mapping our farm buildings including usage thread" https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058219361/slurry-pits
I'm wondering if maybe more of us could voice our opinions on the matter in that thread, there are 2 representatives claiming to be from openstreetmap.org posting there too.
@Say my name thinks we should start another thread in legal discussion, I'm leaning towards there being grounds for a complaint to the DPC. I know sometimes I'm an opinionated ass but I think there are genuine privacy and security issues here that could potentially affect any/all of us.
I'd go with a complaint to the DPC either.
I'll put my name to it @emaherx.
Interested in others opinions. Seems completely unjust erosion of rights.
FDC are generally more competitive for the smaller farmer. I find them good. They are a fairy big organisation and give farming area specific taxation advice
I'm up for that too.
I’d put my name to that too.
Cool lads, I just want to see what sort of response I get from them first, might send an e-mail seeking some clarifications first too. Would be better from the DPC point of view if we try to engage with them first.
Does anyone enjoy painting ?
always end up squeezing it into evenings after work which makes extra torture of it 🙄
No - the smell alone make me ill😔
Can you not get a painter decorator?
Depends whether I'm let get on with it in my own space and time or whether there's "pressure". When I say it depends I mean no for the former, and **** no for the latter.
Had to bring my mam to Tipp as I’ve a very ill aunt so only got into the sheds around 10pm. Met a fox coming out against me. Must figure a way to catch it. Have nothing calving for a month- 6 weeks but not a chance I’d like to take.
Ah I could, but even more than the hate for a job is the Cavanman’s hate for paying someone to do something you can do yourself 🤣🤣
I actually love painting but can never get the time at it, so the last twice we have painted has been done by a local painter.
That harvest gold/yellow looks perfectly fine to me, what's wrong with it the way it is? I just love it when colour cards appear. Paint shops must have had a great year last year when covid started.
In the news this week, a farmer earns an extra €50 😁
SFP 2nd payment is up on amounts dues on agfood to be paid Dec 1st.
No picture of the farmer?
No, nobody's paying to see him.
Anybody bought steel recently. How much is 50mm box iron costing?
