I also deferred in Cork for the same reason , we were probably offered the same position . I'm in Batch 1.3, top 5. I was told there are 2 ahead of me on the Deferred List so they'll be offered any positions less than 45km before me. This was end of October.

Yeah I had to do the same, although I already had mine to hand so it wasn't an issue getting it.
If you don't have yours I think they're quite accommodating with the time it can take to get the necessary cert so I wouldn't worry :)

Can anybody give a rough guide on pensions for new EO entrants.
I have just been appointed EO and will have 17 years to 65 years old.
If I stay as an EO for that time, is there a guide to the level of pension I will have? I'm really struggling to find any way to calculate this.
Pension age is likely to be 68 by then. New hires can already work to age 70. There is a rough single scheme calculator. You normally need 40 years for full pension.

I’m OOM 1 in Batch 2.1 Westmeath following interview about 10 days ago. I emailed clearance a couple days ago to see how many are ahead & there’s currently 1 person ahead of me. Hope this helps :)

Awh brilliant congrats! You can email them and ask them which dept they’re considering you for, that’s what I did :)
I'd look at setting up an AVC to supplement your pension there are some specialist providers I can pm you if you are interested.

Hi All, im currently going through the process as i was offered a position in Dept. Of Education in Offaly. Im currently an Assistant Staff Officer in HSE. I asked PAS about whether i can carry over my service, they said no but on further examination i know some people have done this so i have being advised to wait & ask the HR dept directly when they phone me. Has anyone experience in doing this? Do you go on the same point in the scale?
Anyone any advice on moving from HSE to Civil service?

Up to open OOM 22 and interdepartmental OOM 5 in batch 2 were called to interview for Offaly as of a week ago.
I’m batch 2 Westmeath OOM 1 and got an offer earlier this week
They have called up to 22 OOM for Offaly and OOM 18 for Westmeath batch 2 after Etray to interview.
I’ve since found out I’m going to be based in Kildare street. Just waiting on a start date now. Discussions ongoing between both HR sections working on my transfer.
Has anyone on here heard anything regarding the Longfors panel re interview? Submitted my expression of interest on the 26th of Oct but have heard nothing back.
At present we have called to order of merit 10 Open and 4 Inter for Longford Batch 2.
