I for one do not believe he shot them people out of self defence and never meant to kill them. I think he intended to kill them and thought he would get away with it. The Judge as well is a joke. What a very strange trial. Only in America.

High profile trials like these where the media gets involved and sets the narrative long before the trial ascertains the facts are a serious problem when it comes to jury selection where members of the jury buy into and defend the media narrative rather than evaluate information presented at the trial. The rumours are are that one person held up the decision until the others told them that thanksgiving is coming up and they were not going to hang around.

It's a long-standing rule in the US, the general way to avoid getting shot in such situations is to not attack people. Especially if they're carrying a gun. Normally pretty common logic, actually.
I'm sorry, but a prosecution which says "Sometimes you have to take a beating" to the jury is entirely out of touch with US law, let alone morals.
The fact that this was so heavily disputed when we have multiple videos of what happened is insane. It was always a clear cut case of self defence. He was attacked and he defended himself. End of story.
It was a politically motivated prosecution from start to finish.
Result is no surprise to anybody except the extreme hateful left who have once again let themselves down. I hope some of the biased media who no longer can see right from wrong are hauled through court for years for the nonsense they have projected since the incident. How would you know? ZERO evidence was ever presented that Rittenhouse is a racist. It was never even alleged by the prosecution. I expect he is thrilled that he doesn't have to go to prison for defending himself from hooligans who wanted to beat him to death.
