Yeah you can reserve online for collection. There in stock in these places. Reserve today you can collect from tomorrow until Monday. Just go onto argos website check store and stock shows there.
I was lucky enough to bag one from Smyth Sligo last week. They had about 5 in stock at the time and they were gone in 15 mins.
The stock was added around 8.30am on the Smyths site, so best to check for Smyths early in the morning it seems.
I got wind of them via a twitter account @seriesalerts. Worth following if your on the hunt for Xmas, but you got to be quick.
Picked up one from Argos today. They seem to have some in their stores even now.
If you 'check stock in your area' you may find some local.

I'm on the lookout for an Xbox series x but no joy so far.
Argos seem to have pretty steady stream of stock, you just have to reserve for pickup, that's all.
Do you mine me asking what province (Ulster,Leinster,Munster,Connacht) are you looking for the Xbox series X.

Gamestop have been shocking with pre orders and day-one releases this year, i've cancelled a few pre orders with them. Constantly telling me their shipments get held up in Britain. You could be waiting a while but will surely be sorted before christmas

Got an order in (finally) with Gamestop on November 30th. It was supposedly shipped on December 1st and I received an An Post tracking number but since then the status has just been "We don't have your parcel yet".
