Yeah going to see Lindsey next may and will have to just accept the sound issues. No way will i ever get the chance to see a legend like that in such a small venue
Any band/artist I've seen at the helix, the sound has been grand, but they have been mostly acoustic gigs.
Yeah I'd no complaints about the Biffy Clyro unplugged gig
The sound in the Helix was fine, it was just Modest Mouse that was a disaster. The other gigs I've been to (Sufjan Stevens, City and Colour, Denzel Curry) have all been fine.
No doubt we will start seeing a few gig announcements just in time for the Christmas Market
Garth Brooks in Croker could be officially announced soon (only speculating)
AC/DC very quite, Bruce Springsteen same
Garth Brooks just announced - September 9th and 10th this year
Tickets are on sale Thursday 25 November at 8am.
Thanks be to god, has sucked up so much discussion- this never ending saga. Oddly, i note, his only European gigs in 2022 are Croke Park, not that i would be going to any of his gigs anyway.
+3 more gigs as well, of course, are the extra 3 gigs, gone off to An Born Pleanala by the residents ?
Apart from Germany, Ireland and UK, he never really took off much in Europe. His last "World Tour" that included Croke Park, was basically USA, Canada, 3 nights in Croker and 5 nights in Belfast
Nah he has the five id say, always the same announce the awkward dates so they sell out then role out date after date, it helps them with selling out shows, if all 5 were on sale on the same day you couldnt guarantee that one of them sells out straight away, loads of acts adopt that practice.
True, if he could have put the other 3 dates on first because they will be Sunday - Tuesday would sell out and then adding the Friday and Saturday gigs would have sold out easier because being the weekend.
They must definitely be 100% with the 5 gigs because I know Aiken won't want another **** show like last time.
Yeah that would have been the clever thing to do, if its his only shows in Europe they will do well anyway, be handy if they had some legacy system in place where people had tickets for his shows a few years ago got the opportunity to buy them first, would never happen but would be a nice thing to do, MCD surely have slane & RDS gigs lined up if they are happy to let Aiken have Croke to themselves
Gilla Band (formerly Girl Band) playing Whelans on the 14th, 21st and 29th of January - on sale now
Sounds like he's put the awkward dates on first. First on sale are Thur/Fri. 3rd will be the following night the Saturday.
After that it's the following Friday/Saturday night
EDIT: Sorry, just seen that it's the Fri/Sat he's selling first
The first 2 dates going on sale are Fri 9th and Sat 10th.
The extra 3 dates are Sunday the 11th , Fri 16th and Sat 17th.
I think Aiken has overestimated the demand, I cant see them selling 400k tickets in the current market.
Aiken are great for using up dates across all the stadiums have you seen how poorly the Ed Sheeran shows are selling... , There will be demand for Brooks if its his only stop in Europe im sure foreign fans will come over its a good boost for the economy, if he does sell out every show at 100 quid a pop thats 40m quid in ticket sales its crazy money
Yea exactly, plus you will have a lot of fans doing more than one show and as said you will have people flying in from Europe and I wouldnt be shocked if some from the US to make a holiday out of it
More of a coincidence I said we might see the garth brooks go on sale soon ha
You have any other insider info.... 👀🤣
€65 standing, €80 seats plus fees.
Not bad for a stadium tour these days.
Where did you see the prices?
No price on the TM website ?
I think there will be no, problem selling these.
Ed Sheeran sold, what 360,000 ish tickets in 2018 in a flash, and now, 2 months after his 2022 gigs announced, literally, thousands still unsold for 2nd announced gigs in both Dublin & Cork, and this time he is playing less gigs as well. Major miscalculation of the market place. and if you look at the dates, there was room for a 3rd gig in both Cork & Limerick. And this was not pricing, he charged the same as 2018, too many gigs over a short time frame.
Garth is also very well priced, but has 2 massive advantages, in that as he hasn’t played here in more than 2 decades ? (Unsure)huge pent up demand, these will be gone on day of sale, all of them.
and its his only European gigs in 2022, they’l be jetting in here from all over Europe.
That'd be cheaper than '14, are you sure?

Very good prices tbh
On the ticketmaster website.
very cheap, but thats been his pricing strategy for a longtime, looks like identical pricing to 2014, €65 & €80.
tbf, he does exactly what he wants, and he can command it, his stuff isn’t on Spotify, he is quite unusual
For anyone that likes Ricky Gervais, production hold tickets were released today and still on sale for his shows next week, good seats as well, going myself next week should be good, very affordable as well at €45 a ticket
His stuff is on Spotify. Albeit pulled from others albums.
You don't count other covering someone's songs as being able to listen to the original
A valid point. that's why I edited my post when I actually went and had a look on Spotify.
