How many panels were being planned? They have a point if it were many. Same way a canopy in a forest works to block out light from other plants growing.
That's why Coillte are cutting down trees in Dublin forests, to create more light for native saplings to grow.
So if it is vast sheets of solar panels being planned, of course plants that would otherwise grow are not going to grow underneath them.
Plants would not grow as normal underneath panels, obviously, but that's utter BS to claim panels would "suck up all energy from the sun". They'd just collect that very small chunk of solar energy that would reach them. Nothing more, nothing less.

A rural area near me protested all out against masts for mobile phones years ago (20 ish). They went full retard with pseudo science and scare tactics to bully them away but a few years later were whinging when everyone else had great service and didn't rot from cancer. To this day there isn't a blip on the phone when you drive through it. No phone or internet signal.

Maybe how has it got that far? An entire town mostly unvaccinated, causing the po-po to check ID's as the unclean are not allowed out/to the superstores etc.
You might find it surprising, but in A LOT of other countries the green passes are checked before allowing people inside premises.
We really are approaching the era of "yellow star" discrimination against the unvaccinated.
Bad comparison and not in any way similar but it is about time that people who refuse a vaccine face up to the consequences of their choices.
The two are inverse rather than equivalent. Yellow star discrimination was persecution of a minority based on belief. The clamp down on unvaccinated people is based on the science that Covid-19 spreads widely in the community and vaccines do greatly reduce the harm the virus causes and transmission of the virus.
Why was my post removed, what rules did it break, was it because I called a mod out for hyperbolic nonsense? It's okay for them to push the yellow star nonsense but when challenged simply delete the comment, this site had gone to the dogs.
the yellow star did not discriminate based on belief. If you had jewish descendants then nazi germany considered you a jew. even converting to christianity didn't save you from persecution. they even sent nuns to death camps that had been born jewish.
