Any chance you could put the QR code up here after you have used it and before it expires ,it might work on other phones to .
They could position the readers to make it easier to scan though. Not only do you have to get your hand and phone through the hole in the perspex screen, but the reader itself is at an odd angle relative to the edge of the till. Even in a brand new Lidl store near me, where you'd have thought that they could have come up with a better design than what they were forced into in the older stores when the screens were introduced.
Dear Lidl, Customers are deeply unhappy that you give them oodles of free stuff. Yours cordially, boardsie
Yeah I'll do that no problems but not until the week of 5th-12th December as thats when the voucher Im going to use is valid.
@SourSessions and @crayon80 might do they same after they have used their vouchers and if the QR code does work more than once then hopefully others can use it to get the 5 euro off 25
Yes I'll do it no problem, I suspect they aren't single use!
Or if someone else is able to grab another leaflet of vouchers, we can compare the code
The aperture in the perspex screen that you insert your phone into is too small, most phones these days are big with five inch or larger screens. The reader is situated below this opening so, as somebody has already mentioned, the phone has to be inserted horizontally, then held vertically with thumb and middle finger in order for the token symbol to be read. I have seen customers drop their phones accidentally which then have to be retrieved by the cashier and handed back to the customer to attempt the process again. Of course all checkouts in LIDL have protective screens in place because of COVID but, hopefully, when these are no longer required a hand held scanner operated by the checkout person will be available instead.
any more left?
Also anyone didn't get their scratch and win yesterday? didn't get mine.
Also whioch stores in Dublin south have the beans in stock?
Chicken Burgers sold out everywhere?
I know that but it's still a bit awkward and inefficient given that the checkout process at LIDL in general is a model of efficiency. I think they need to look at this particular aspect again.
yet again I picked up something, checked the receipt and realised I never "activated" the offer. Why do we need to activate them, just make them active by default once you scan your phone. Particularly the scratch and win items - you have to scratch, then save, then activate!
I agree with chicorytip. I have an old smartish phone but don't use the data on it when I'm out. I only use wifi at home to Whatsapp family and friends. So I have to turn on my data every time I'm in Lidl, and occasionally if its busy or I have a lot of shopping, I forget to switch it off. I recently used the data to get an offer and it ended up costing me €5 because I forgot about it!! I'm happy to have a freebie, and delighted with 50c or €1 off but I don't like using my data. My pension is not going to stretch to me paying for internet on my phone. It's stretched enough already. I've always got my Dunnes voucher and loyalty card in my purse so for me it's never a problem there.
Hi there, you should take a screenshot of the app barcode and use that in Lidl. You can then activate all your treats at home
I do activate everything before I leave home but the last time the cashier entered my phone number she said it wasn't coming up, can't understand that as I've been using it for quite a while now! I haven't heard of gomo, I'll check it out, thanks for that.
Yes, I do activate everything at home first, but I didn't know about using a screenshot. That's very helpful. Many thanks.
None left sorry. I dont know if they are still giving them out at the till as I only pass through Newbridge now and again. You could ask in store, there might be still some of the voucher pages in the managers office.
I'll be posting the QR code up here anyway as will two other posters so if they are not single use codes you'll still be able to get it as will others.
Them free jam tarts are horrible but they were free thought lol
Microwaved with some ice cream and they are nice :)
€1 off on scratchcard
got the half roast duck with pancakes and hoisin sauce on the Super 6 meats, it was very tasty with crispy skin.
Baked beans or bourbon creams on my next scratchcard, I cant stand beans so thats an easy choice
Chocolate Chip Cookies / Energy Drink on scratch card 2
Freezer bags and Custard Creams on third scratcher
Nice to see some transparency in this sector.....

Vegetarians, Vegans, Fregans, etc., something something
They were designed before the perspex screen was brought in for covid, so its understandable. I had to do a wrap around reach the other day to pay with my card even, some of the tills are more awkward than others.
Did they change the app to allow screenshots again? I'm rooted with a yolk that allows screenshots on "secure" apps, so I can't tell.
No, but there are other options.
If you've access to two smartphones, you can simply take a snap of it. I've added mine as a loyalty card in the Google Pay app.
You can open Lidl barcode even if you are offline. Just open the app and click on "Lidl Plus".
Make sure you activate all the coupons before you go offline.
Funnily enough I used to be able to open the app without using data, but that changed for me a few weeks ago and I've no idea why or how!
Try to update the app? I was able to open it offline on Thursday. (Settings => Apps => Click on Lidl Plus and choose Update)
