I for one do not believe he shot them people out of self defence and never meant to kill them. I think he intended to kill them and thought he would get away with it. The Judge as well is a joke. What a very strange trial. Only in America.

The mindset of the defendant is what's at issue in self defense claims, not the mindset of the other people who were in the area. It doesn't matter why Huber and Gosskroetz were attacking Rittenhouse. It matters that they were, and that Rittenhouse felt he was in immiment danger of grievous bodily harm or death.
Some of you guys are very fond of inferring things with zero evidence.
For the record, I feel very saddened that American culture creates 17 years old's that feel they need to arm themselves with military grade rifles, and march into what is effectively an urban war zone to defend their community from their fellow citizens.
Just like I find it very sad, that young people get dragged into pointless organizations like BLM and antifa etc. These are not roads that lead to anything positive in society!
I do think the young kid acquitted himself well, considering what he was up against. But that does not mean I am a fan of any of it. It's depressing to think about it too much - every aspect of it.
I fear we might start importing this type of stuff onto our shores too. I hope I'm wrong about that.

He travelled to a peaceful protest with good intentions. Lucky there were folk like him there. Apparently it turned into a riot at some stage shortly after.
But yet no sign of the good old boys showing up emass dressed as wannabe navy seals ,the business owners Asian or other defensed their business because in most cases the police had zero control ,
What we've seen lately is the various types of far right groups from three percenters to proud boys and numerous other armed groups coming out in force when it blm or similar protests usually traveling from multiple other states to get to a particular protest to try intimidate the actual locals protesting ..

Both sides involved in that incident were acting like morons. You wouldn't want either side in your own neighborhood.
Ultimately this needs to be viewed from a non partisan perspective.
Unfortunately, whatever the verdict the people on the opposite side will see all sorts of reasons for the verdict to be declared invalid.
Nobody wins here, if anything is learned from this episode it should be that chasing people with guns and trying to assault them isn't the brightest of ideas.

Yes they come out armed to the teeth, and all the evidence shows they only use force when attacked.
They act as a deterrent. We don't have any stats on how many lives, livelihoods, businesses were prevented from being destroyed due to these guys. People instead just get offended because they are white guys with big guns who are not showing weakness. That bothers a lot of people who only see evil intentions in such people.
