Free 6 week beginner's yoga class (online) via Fingal County Council HomeFit series (I hadn't heard of it but this is apparently the last of it).Form to sign up below, is starts on Nov 3rd at 6pm.

We’re excited to announce the Enchanted Forest Millennium Park is running this November every day until Sunday 28th.

With 20 light and sound installations, this event will operate from dusk until 8pm with the park opening hours extended to facilitate this free to attend event. Entry only through the Millennium Park car park on Grove Road as all other gates to the park close at 5pm.

I went to this last Sayurday, it was nice enough A treat for kids to be in the forest after dakr and the lights are nice. ONe side of them weren't working properly when I was thre but hopefully that was just teething issues. There was security at either end too if you were in any way worried about being in the park after dark.

Has anyone been to Shackleton Gardens yet? Want to bring my grandmother but want to chek that there is parking and she won't have far to walk from car to gardens. She is grand on her feet she can just get a bit tired if too much walking withouth a rest is involved. Thanks!

You park right next to the entrance. Mind, it's an extremely small garden and was a bit of a mess when we went a few weeks ago. Could do with a small cafe/van! There are a few benches anyway if you want a sit down.

That is great @Daeltaja thanks for that. Sure a small garden will be perfect, staying home for so long cocooning last year really has diminished her fitness levels. That and she's not getting any younger :)

Was up at it with the girlfriend and all lights etc working ok

Definitely more for the kids for various reasons

We got talking to security and he was saying needed Street performers but then too tight. Shame they couldn't do this and a one way system loop

Still worth going up as lucky to get it free on doorstep

Yes could be used as a trial of what they can/cant do, maybe even as the walkway into a Christmas market, even a small one (just parking might be issue)

D15/D7 Action Against Gendet Violence have organised community walks in both Ashtown and Hartstown on the 25th of November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to highlight the lack of services in our community with regard to women's refuge places and we want to campaign for the opening of a Rape Crisis Centre in the area.

Please join us on Thursday. Meeting points are Mace in Kinvara and Eurospar in Hartstown.

We popped up last night with the toddler. It's a lovely set up and a nice way to spend 20 minutes or so. It's alot better than last year's effort in the Millennium Park.

I think there may be 2 car parks. 1 right beside the gardens and another a bit of a walk away from the lightshow. There's no footpath so it'll be tricky with young / elderly in the dark. We got lucky with the nearest car park. So try take the entrance directly beside the train station.

We were very annoyed, we got moved on the "next car park" which is the playground, so I knew then it would be a bit of a walk. After walking with young children along a dark path with cars flying past us, we got to the garden and there were loads of spaces. Also, would it be tremendously difficult to have some sort of hot drink cart there or something? Surely there's someone would be happy to do it.

Like everything with these events, it's getting a bit better, but still not very good. Absolute minimum effort.
