There is nothing to suggest he will be in the squad, what he has though is a run of form this year which Harry hasn't and more caps so it will be interesting to see. He needs to hit the ground running this week given the short window he has to impress Farrell.
One small step closer for Jack, but is there any reason to believe it won't be the other two 10's in the squad at the weekend? In which case Jack really just needs to do his best to impress in training, and then come back to Connacht and work hard on performing consistently well before the 6 nations squad is picked.
Both were with the squad on the pitch pre match but not involved in the drills / warmup , when I saw Jack I was wondering was it an injury to one of the other 10's or covid related?
Great news for Jack. Cian Tracey mentioned on Twitter that him and Dave Heffernan were with the Irish sqaud on Saturday but not togged out.
Carty been called up to the Ireland squad according to Murray Kinsella.
"Report" a somewhat loose term in this case unfortunately.
Munster won 36-21.
Report here: https://www.munsterrugby.ie/2021/11/12/munster-a-defeat-connacht-in-ul/#post
Duggan plays but as expected our only other LH for now is kept in the fridge...
Robb/Bolton, our winger won't see many balls but a lot of great carrying to come
Loads of interesting names there.
Bolton in the centre,Wooton back, and Greg McGrath starts at TH, with Sam Illo will make his debut from the bench. Oisin McCormack starts - he was so good for the Irish U20s, as was Cathal Forde who subs.
I had to look up Bart Vermeulen, interesting story, Belgian guy who has been playing for Trinity where he's been doing a degree, used to be a number eight:
Papa Leahy at eight, keep it low Papa!
no plans to by Munster.
Will the game be streamed?
Duggan starts. Strong team named

We probably will, won't risk at least one of Duggan/Burke for now, can't afford to until our Samoan comes...
I doubt we'll see Ward at loosehead this weekend, think it'll be much closer to a URC team than a traditional Eagles squad.
Former Connacht man AJ McGinty has signed 3 year deal with Bristol!
I don't say otherwise, except I'm not at ease with permutation.
The fact McGrath/McCoy were not even tested during warn-ups as LH means they are not to be back-ups. Let's see if Eagles selection this week proves different. If Ward starts as 1, it's cristal clear
I meant this by "1 injury away from disaster", that we have only 2 choices, not that Burke disappoints. On the contrary, a pleasant surprise. But we need another, 1st or 3rd option time will tell
By the way, D.Buckley is only 3 months from theorical come-back, fingers crossed
That was my feeling at the start of the season but it's been very pleasing to see Burke do so well and Duggan as solid as I expected. IIRC we have three omniprops: Finlay, DRMcC and Greg McGrath, and I had imagined how those permutations might run, but it just has not been necessary.
One of the things that I like about Connacht is problems can't be solved with money, players have to be developed. We saw this a couple of seasons ago during the injury crisis which hit second row especially heavily. This provided the opportunity for Niall Murray to get the game time which he required - I'd say that's worked out pretty well! Let's not assume that the way forward is sticking Tuimauga in, it's great to have him but he'll have to win the jersey.
Was suppoosed to be 5 weeks so around this time...
Hope he keeps his fitness wherever he is..
Was thinking the same myself earlier. It would be great to have him togging out for the next game. Burke and Duggan have been good and it is promising going forward.
Any news about Tuimauga arriving?
We're still 1 injury from nightmare, we will breath easier
Actually, no disrepect to the AIL at all - I meant amateur in the sense of being unpaid (and I did not use the word "just"). That comes with it, by definition, a lower standard than the professional level. But I think it's great that it is an option for current non-match-playing professionals, and also that it allows people who may have been overlooked previously to come into the professional game.
So it's good that these players are getting game time - albeit at a lower standard than the professional level.
At different stages of the season its more common and in past seasons it happened more
Describing AIL as just amateur is doing the club game especially division 1 a big disservice and you should try get to a game or join a club if not a member and check it out. standard will surprise you.
I think it will become a lot more common this season with the new structure. There's not many (if any) provincial matches during international windows this season. Hence our 4 week break. Ben Healy and Jack Crowley were playing for their clubs in Munster last week also.
Mack Hansen must be back with Connacht this week, not named on squad list in the squad update today
For those like myself who weren't aware, is this (playing AIL) something that happens regularly when there is a provincial break? Good idea to get the squad some game time, even if it is amateur.
Mc grath got the try not dooley
Shayne Bolton played 13 for Wegians.
See Greg McGrath started for Lansdowne in their win over Clontarf.
Anyone know which other members of the Connacht squad were playing AIL this weekend?
Anyone having trouble with renewing their season ticket? I have two tickets on my account but was only able to renew one. When I logged back in to renew the second it already said I had an order made and I couldn’t renew the second. Also, and this is less of an issue, the ST was €200 plus charges rather than €195 as it is supposed to be.
Cracking player. I hope he gets a few caps.
