800-820, got my PCA very soon. Vetting was back in 3 weeks. Hopefully you’re not waiting much longer.
mines Away 3 weeks now but still haven’t been credit checked, got invite for PCA though
I know it varys from person to person, so hopefully you’re not waiting too much longer! Good luck with PCA, would highly recommend attending the familiarisation session - gives you a bit more insight into what to expect! Good luck!

i waited for a month and a half approx.
I waited less than a week! medical passed on the Tuesday and the call on Thursday, reserve spot for December and if not January intake

So sorry to hear that mate. I haven't had experience with unsuccessful vetting, but flip, you've gotten so far, i would call up recruitment and would request the appeals procedure for this. Most of the recruitment stages are appealable, so i don't see a reason why this shouldn't be. Of course, i am not sure, but do try! Good luck xx

How long after the medical has anyone waited for result and smt test result? Just had mine today.

I know in past campaigns they have gave you the opportunity to list up to 5 districts you’d like to work (obviously it’s subject to where they need you and you mightn’t get any of your picks) but is this still a thing and if so does anyone know at what point you do that? I know they tell you what district you’re going to on induction day.

U can now choose up to 4 districts. No guarantee u will get it. Some people in my intake did not get it. No specific stations till a week or so before the end of GV training as far as i know.

At what point do you get the opportunity to list them? Do you list your top 4 before the induction day or on the induction day? Not that it really matters it’s just something I’ve been wondering!

Hi. After the call u get some forms to fill in and send away amongst which is your district preference form prior to induction day, so on induction day, u get told what ur allocated district is. Hope this helps.

Hey! i waited a total of 8 months on vetting. Had my medical, SMT, PCA all done months prior but still could do nothing but sit on my hands! trust me it'll come :)
Anyone have to wait more than 2 days on results of medical? Had mine Tuesday but nothing back yet.
Medical results vary from a few days to a week, I got my SMT results 3 days and medical results 1 week after the medical itself
@aquablank i wouldn’t rely on getting any of your choices for a district allocation. I know a lot of people got none of their choices and it’s down to where they need you. A small handful of people do get lucky however, it is mainly down to the PSNI’s needs. I’d be realistic knowing there’s a high possibility you may not get any of your choices and be prepared for a potential long travel to work. Best of luck!
