Lads talking about fuel savings and half price tolls are all short term benefits because the government take in hundreds of millions in tax on fuel so when more people start moving to electric they're going to ramp up the price of electricity so it'll cost the same to "fill" your electric as it does an ICE today.
My Toyota CH-R Hybrid runs on very little fuel city driving, and still relatively economical on long runs.
