I like the way stations and podcasts from the built in Internet radio can be added to favourites. At least when I remember to switch on the hotspot. Mostly I end up using CarPlay.
Difficult to fully see these seats on the brochure and no car in showroom , does the “Fragment” Cloth Platinum Grey/Soul - look good or very cheap in real life?
Anyone see these wheel trims on a car or even have these?
Do they actually look like alloys when on the car?
Can avoid the wheel trims by getting the comfort spec, but the fragment cloth is still on the comfort spec
Yes it's handy but you can do this on tune in via car play so this will remove the need to enable the hotspot on your phone. I've gone back to Android and got the Poco X3 Pro, what an amazing phone for 260 Euros and Android has come a long, long way. I struggle to see the money's worth in my Iphone 11 pro compared to the Poco X3 Pro and won't ever pay mad money for an iphone again. Android Auto works great too since the last update.
On my commute home today on the N7 the car ahead slammed on the brakes and the id3 made a noise and alerted me on the dash to brake, seems a bit mad that with all it's sensors it can't detect this level of hard braking and stop in time ? It certainly didn't feel as the car would actually prevent itself from slamming into the car in front.
So beware and never take your eye off the road because even adaptive cruise won't prevent a rear end collision it seems! I thought that was the whole purpose lol. Gave me quite a scare.
I believe it'll prompt you to brake and if you aren't quick enough it'll try to brake for you to prevent a collision
But yes you're correct, the assistance systems aren't a substitute to paying attention while driving
What sensitivity do you have it set to. There are levels that you can set. "early" I think is the most sensitive.
Ha ha, yeah, would not like to chance it not rear ending the car in front, if it warns me I take it seriously lol
Think I have it set to early, will check.
Nice phone MadLad,but then I'm biased ..........
Are you getting the car detecting the wrong speed limit just after the circle K at Kill on the n7 last 2 times I have passed down traveling at 100, the car just breaks into a 60? And not sure if you use the m50 but it jumps up to 120 just after the toll southbound
Exact same thing happens to me, the one on the West link boggles my mind. I think the problem must be with the maps since there's no speed limit signs around there
Yes this has puzzled me, where is it getting 120 Km/hr in the M50 when it's 100 Km/hr ?
Sometimes on N7 this happens also but might be more dependent as to which lane I'm in but it is annoying.
How do you turn off this speed limit sign recognition ? I can't find how to do it.
Press the assist button and then I think you hit the stop sign icon, or the menu button. It's called speed limit sign recognition or something
k will check out later, cheers.
aye under the heating controls. Assist button. will bring up a screen with cars etc on it. click the sign post.
My experience is that it's an issue more to do with the maps than sign post reading. My car drops to 30kph near home at a point where there is no such sign. Also, another stretch of road outside Urlingford that was 80kph, but now increased to 100kph with new signs for this, still has the car dropping to 80kph.
To disengage this, I think I went into Travel Assist - ACC and turned of "Speed Limit Preview." This allows to car to continue to read road signs, slow the car for regen when the icon (lift foot off pedal) appears, and slow the car for bad bends, but does not slow the car for speed limits. I prefer this but obviously now have to cancel and resume ACC at start and end of speed limit areas.
Got the Life Pro Model with that fabric..In my opinion it looks fine, nice mix of contrast in fabric colour..
I upgraded the wheel trims for 175.00 from the dealer..Well worth it..
well wear
Thanks for the picture, yea looks much better compared to the standard wheel trims anyway!
Any chance you could put up a photo of the seats showing most or even all of the seat/back?
looking at that i wish i'd done the same on the wheel trims - looks really good. and unlike having alloys i wouldn't have to worry so much about the wife's parking...
Or spend a tenner on a can of spray paint........
We'll look what I just got in my news feed.
SFD is no longer an issue.

I think a hose might be a better investment...😁😁
Cheeky bugger.........
That's actually pretty clean compared to normal ..........
And cleaner than mine atm..😋
Do I win a prize?
Just been in touch with my dealer, I seem to have a faulty seal in one of the headlights. I know some condensation is normal but this is too much.
They won't approve and order the part until they examine it, even though they've agreed over email that it's not normal. So I'm looking at 2 separate 100km+ round trips to resolve.
Might contact VW in Derry and see if the warranty can operate cross border.
Can anyone remember how long it took before any updates started to show when using the commission number for their order?
That condensation ain't normal..Never noticed any in any of my lights as yet, though I know they have to be able to breath.
I I remember correctly 3-4 weeks.
Did any of you see the fellow that drove his ID3 into a stationary car on a smart motorway in the UK ( no hard shoulder) today?. Walked away from it.
