Come on Ireland! ☘️
Except the way its implied makes it look as if the only reason we looked good is because the opposition was muck...there are 2 teams playing this game you know.
Nice from Henderson.
Great finish from Ringers. Henderson and Sheehan have both looked good too.
That's a great step and power through from Ringrose. But it's very poor defence from Japan to concede a try off first phase. Defence should be well set.
I really don't understand what you are saying and deep down I think you haven't a clue either.
I think its pretty obvious what im implying, use you're head for a change.
Lineout has not been good today.
I think both of ye are actually making the same point.
Good teams can have poor games, like Japan today. And it's an easy, and somewhat a bad faith argument, to complain about the quality of the opposition if you haven't called out beforehand.
Jesus this forum is petty sometimes
Japan really gone backwards recently
There's the 50 points that somebody here was looking for. And it was a Munster player. And it was his hat trick.
Must be happy now?
Japans heads went.
Great chase from Conway, but there were two Japanese players there to cover the kick.
*Your*
OK, fair enough the more the game has gone on the more it appears that Japan have been pretty dreadful.
Still, this has been really impressive by Ireland.
Kudos to Mike Catt.
Carbery hasn't played well since coming on. Just looks like he can't make his mind up over what option he should take.
You do understand the game you are watching? Japan are far below the level they were in the world Cup. They have been very very poor - as such you can't really read much into the Irish performance.
As iv already said this game is the worst possible preparation for NZ.
Yeah but that's the crux. Japan are a better side than what they've showed today. We expected them to be better today. No point posting about how nobody said they'd be this bad before the game when we thought they'd be more competitive.
Conan has played well and deserves his MoTM award.
He's a slow burner of a player. Was always good, but it's only in his mid to late 20's has he really gone up a level to being a genuinely quality test option. He's the complete number 8. Great carrier, offloader, linking option and lineout jumper.
Can only play what's in front and put 60 points on them. Can't fault that.
That was a thoroughly enjoyable game, good for the confidence but not muxh else before next week.
Hard to see any changes before next week, maybe henderson starts and Beirne goes to the bench to cover more, Conway and Lowe took their chances. Ringrose and Aki look good. Would have been nice to see Lowe get tested more defensively but that didnt happen.
NZ will look to target porter in the scrum, they will put a lot more pressure on the lineout as well.
This there will be a change at hooker as well, sheehan wont be in the matchday 23.
Carbery could have been given more time but its not huge thing.
There are a few small elements of Keenans game to work on.
POM will be lucky to make the bench next week.
NZ rested a lot of front line players today, they will be coming ready for a battle, hopefully we can give it.
Absolute class from Conan, huge performance.
Enjoyed that, role on NZ.
Thought it was him, Lowe or possibly JGP for MotM but fully deserved for Conan.
He looks very low on confidence.
Seems a bit if a wasted opportunity to not blood a few younger players today. Best that's with the benefit of hindsight. Japan ran Australia close last weekend. It's right that we went into the game full blooded.
Naw, it was obvious from very early on.
Saw a tweet saying Carbery POM and Murray gave away 6 penalties between them when they came on
That's awful stuff
Waterworks incoming. Lovely to see.
The difference between Gibson park and Murray was night and day for the way Farrell wants the team to play from my point of view. Park really keeps the opposition guessing and brings lads onto the ball at pace with last minute pops, almost acts like a bit of a playmaker. I personally wouldn’t have Murray in the first 23 at the moment.
That's a fine touch from Japan
Nice gesture their from the japanese
