Yeah but they added fishing.
Oh! That changes everything!
Does it come with horse armour included?
Its kinda astonishing this game is still being shined up and sold full price. Is there any system that hasn't had Skyrim released for it yet? I like the FAQs bold claim there'll be "advanced graphics" for the current gen systems 😆
Anthem being the opposite of that :(
RIP Anthem :(
The next gen upgrade is free of you have the special edition (as on GamePass). Which is nice. I finished the main game on series x and it's 60 FPS and very fast loading already..so it'd be interesting to see what else they are adding for next gen. Still loads for me to do in the game without paying any extra cash. I can't find any videos of the next gen console improvements
Beats Breath of the wild so 😊 BOTW really missed a trick by not having fishing. It had fish and boats, but no fishing.
I fished in BOTW... with bombs and electricity.
I also believe, if you can get yourself the right distance into the sea, then whistle for your horse, the fish will swim to shore in fright and get stuck. Never tried it though.
Also, fishing minigames suck.
Woah there! Fishing minigames along with cooking minigames are always awesome.
Meh. Cooking mini-games are also trash. Couldn't abide BOTW's own, even if it wasn't the most obtrusive and time-wasty.
TBH most games beefed out with mini-games are annoying; stick to the core loop damnit.
I always found fishing minigames fun. The Zelda ones are great as are the ones in the later breath of fire games and the likes of harvest moon.
Craftinf usually sucks but I did like the Zelda ones as the buffs you got from it were worth it. But suikoden 2 has an iron chef mini game that is so good it could be a stand alone game. It's legendary.
Sometimes minigames are a nice break from the main. I would've taken a Shenmue forklift spin-off.
Just a heads up that all versions of MGS2 and 3 are about to be delisted from digital storefronts due to rights issues with archival footage in the games.
In a case like that, is it possible for Konami to just patch out the clips?
Possibly, but I'd say it's more likely they'll just pay for the licensing of the clips again and relist the games. It'd be hard to patch out the clips as they might be part of a larger video clip (given how Kojima used a lot of archival footage clips). Depending on which clips they were or how many, they could be part of a larger cutscene of clips, with voiceover. You'd end up having to patch in just a black screen over it.
It seems to just be a standard licensing thing. It's 10 years since the HD collection was released which is what triggered this, rather than any kind of dispute, they just need to renew the licensing for it.
Can you get MGS 2/3 for PS4 or 5?
I don't think so. I recently played MGS3 from the HD collection through PS Now on PS5 though and for the most part it was fine. MGS2 HD and MGS4 are also available.
Just reread the tweet and it states temporarily removed.
So it seems the GeForce now leak has now got release dates attached. Seems to have been pretty accurate up so far as well. Anything that was off was only off by a little bit.
These will be internal targets so will be subject to change the further out they get. Some interesting stuff there. Ff 7 Remake for June. Ff tactics and tactics ogre for the same day in February. Shin megami tensei V coming in February.
These are for PC release but will corelate with console.

Gotham Knights set for 8th February? Can they just **** down February release dates please? And you can just bet the bigwigs of February games will be going mental on why their game didn't sell what they expected.
Also, Resident Evil Outbreak 1st March sounds interesting. Re-release? Re-master??
^Just noticed that Hidden Path are making an open world Dungeons and Dragons RPG, when they should be making Defense Grid 3. 😡
This year has been very quiet for big releases but at least indie has been excellent.
Next Year though is looking like an embarrassment of riches.
It's the remote working effect really kicking in this year - projects that were early or mid-development suffered delays back at the start of last year, so a lot of 'late 2021' stuff has become 'early 2022' stuff. Added to the usual video game delays as well, but you even see Call of Duty - a relatively well-oiled machine by video game standards - pushing some key features til later on.
It remains a minor miracle that developers managed to get even a few next generation launch games out last year.
It's just a pity that are on that strict end of fiscal year deadline of march 22. Would make you wonder how many of those games actually need more time but shareholders want it out, also Christmas crunch.
Personally I'm quite glad there's a quiet stretch - I'll give Forza Horizon and Halo Infinite a whirl on Game Pass, but outside that no big releases I'm interested in. That leaves a nice few months empty now to work through some backlog games (have managed to get a good run at Yakuza Like a Dragon in the last few weeks) and catch up on the indie games I've missed this year. Hell, it's nearly a clear calendar up to Elden Ring for me unless some of those other February games are exceptionally well received :)
I started this yesterday and didn't get far into it and I'm feeling the same as you, lot's of reading. That's good to know it gets better.
Remember Lies of P, that Pinocchio meets Soulsborne revealed over the summer? Well here's an "alpha gameplay teaser".

Something I've noticed recently is how we're finally at the point where in-game looks better than FMV videos. Both Forza Horizon 5 and Yakuza Like A Dragon have 'cinematic' cutscene and 'in-engine' ones - and in many ways the latter look better with higher frame rate, higher resolution and no video compression. Obviously you can do more with 'cinematic' ones in terms of angles, detail etc... but boy those crushed blacks and artefacts really stand out in comparison to the real-time stuff!
