RTE's new 8 episode gangland drama with an all star cast.
AMC start date is September 9th I can't see a start date for RTE just a coming soon.
After 18mths of Spurs , thats how he will look like !!! :D :D
Eamon is not dead at all, he is in fact the terminator
That's not what Rotten Tomatoes is. It gathers up reviews from independent sources (online, usually credible and established sites or publications - yes, real reviewers) and creates an aggregate score. So, if 10 out of 10 reviewers give a positive review, the movie or show will be certified "fresh" at 100%. If 9 out of 10 give a positive review, it will come up as 90%, and so on.
Once it goes under 50% (I think) it's classed as "Rotten". There's also a separate audience score, where users can contribute. But the critics score is the one to note.
So a show or movie that is 100% is very strong, obviously. But it also depends on the number of reviews. Last time I looked, Kin's mark was based on 5 reviews, which isn't that many.
The Plot Thickens 😁 a rare feat for this awful Shyte 😏
He be going all gun blazes. Does he know he is dealing with Blofeld?
Ah cool, thanks for explaining that to me. I still not sure how reliable it is. I don't think Kin is a terrible show, but certainly wouldn't rate it at 100%.
I think they need to get a couple more writers on board for any following seasons.
Maybe he was playing both sides, until the time was right to switch fully? Definitely can't be trusted anyway.
Amanda didn't really have any other way to lure Con out though, did she? Kem seems pretty afraid of her. And if Kem double crossed Jimmy, then he'd certainly end up killed afterwards.
I think they mean why isn't Eamons eye busted in the picture? His two eyes are fine.
theres no other way so choose the way there’s a massive chance it’s a ambush . It just doesn’t scan.
It's beyond me how people have the spare time to watch something they hate, or why they do it. But my goodness, this thread is full of them. A loud minority, misery watching something that most viewers seem to enjoy.
Takes all sorts, I suppose.
You just have to remember that the writing isn't that amazing. There's lots of plot holes throughout the series. The writer doesn't want you to think so hard about it.
I don’t hate, It was better than some other lauded shows, I just took issues with it and particularly someone saying it was well plotted.
I know it's shocking, but not has Shockingly bad as this crap was, as explained previously, I like many, thought (reasonably) I'll give it a go, started badly, stuck with it, got worse, still stuck with it and then it became farcical almost comedic, then I got to stage of thinking, could this actually get worse, my suspicions were confirmed and then I just thought, nothing else on, might as well finish and see if I was alone in thinking this was just comically awful.
I am of course not alone and actually despite loosing hours of my life watching this slow train crash develop, I've more than made up with the comments on here, especially those trying to analyse what was essentially a Turd of a production.
Simply really, hope this answers your concerns 😏
Rotten Tomatoes is the most significant online site for movie/TV reviews and the film studios are terrified of it. The users are film and TV critics, a simple check would clarify that. Thus 100% of newspaper/online site critics have given Kin the thumbs up.
Most people on Here think its sh1te/boring/slow/poorly acted.
Even the most fervent supporter of the show would agree that its at least one of the 4 , if not more.
Id love to know if the show wasnt based in Dublin, would anyone here watch it?
If the same show, with the same actors, same storyline, but was based in LA , or Birmingham, or Soweto ..
Would people here :
Watch it? or Not.
Be so critical of the storyline/acting etc?
or is it just because it based in Ireland that we are so critical?
Basically, it was so bad it was nearly good!
I don't think its that. It's based in Ireland and its a crime drama so anyone that liked Love/Hate will be drawn to it plus there is some good actors attached to this.
I was of high praise of the 1st episode but it just got worse and more ridiculous. It's only 8 episodes so its not a huge commitment after watching the first 3 or 4 and I always see something through to atleast the end of the 1st season no matter how bad it is.
I watched Bloodlands and God that was even worse, RTE desperately pushing this New Series, broadcast on BBC a year ago.
Nothing to do with the location, Bad acting, Bad Story line, Bad script and direction unforgivable where ever its filmed.
Yes in a comical sense so to speak 🤣🤣🤣
Kem was under threat from the Kinsellas. He was not under threat from Con or Eamon. He weighed up his options and Amanda made the correct calculation. The Kinsellas have the drugs and Eamon is rattled. Kem knew which way it was going.
I asked specifically about hits. Why is a killing in a Spanish car park implausible when murders on international series are swallowed wholesale? Michael would be in a waiting car and gone within 15/20 seconds of that hit. He may even have been captured on CCTV, that will be revealed in season two.
So how do you distinguish between a show like Kin, which gets 100%, and something like the Sopranos, which is of a much higher quality in every aspect?
It's just laughable to think Kin gets that high of a review.
If two cameras per level and he takes one out will it be immediately significant. The one closest to the pedestrian entrance door is all he needs down. He knows where Eamon will enter from the terminal. Not diffiicult.
You think airport security will instantaneously react to one of several hundred cameras being down? In the car park as opposed to the far more crowded departure and arrival areas? He may have been caught on CCTV anyway, we'll know next season.
Disguise for other areas of the airport. Capiche?
If I ever need a hit done it's safe to say I'll not be hiring ya Greenspurs.
Its an airport its crawling with police and security. You can kill not 1 but 3 people? What he do then, change his clothes and get on a plane back to Dublin? Nonsense and lazy writing
so then, explain why he'd take the disguise off to do the shooting?
You said the critics weren't fans. The Irish papers and the most important critic website clearly are.
As more reviews come in the percentage will drop but it's unlikely to go below 90% anytime soon.
9 critic reviews now, still not that many. Expect many more when it gets a (likely) UK and more international release.
Ah lads, a certain suspension of disbelief is required for watching shows like this - analysing it down to which CCTV wire he might cut first is just ridiculous!
Having said that, my disbelief was stretched beyond repair watching this, as others (and I) have said, there were more plot holes than in a round of Swiss cheese.
I stuck with it partly to see just how bad it could get (very), and to see how they managed to finish it out and what happened in the end.
I really can't see me investing the time in a second series if it's the same writer and actors though.
There was a lot of Disbelief honestly, the entire series 🤣🤣🤣
A production that has been lauded in Ireland and internationally including 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. 623k average viewers a week in Ireland and a second season on the way. The tide is already in Canute.
I can safely conclude you're not a hitman either Rob. He would have left the scene of the crime and laid low I'd guess. No hurry coming home so Santander crossing a possibility also or via France. Probably not via the same airport.
