Then you are letting your SF blinkers get in the way of reality.
SF more pro-life than Labour or the SD's or the Greens??
Out of your mind tbh.
deleted.
incorrect given i never stated they were pro-life and i certainly do not have blinkers in relation to any party.
and yes, based on my experience of seeing their campaigners more then the others, my point is nothing to do with blinkers but with reality.
It was a little over ten years ago not 30.
The hospital trolly one too.
Oh and the no more quangos...
Oh and the end to cronyism.
If we'd known he was doing stand up...
Go on, O'Snodaigh, printer cartridges :) was only raised last week because a FG'er was caught stealing envelopes.
I know it's the Sinn Fein thread and I shouldn't be pandering to your determination to introduce FG into every SF discussion, but I have to call you out on the barefaced lie in your post.
The Enda Kenny quote on property tax, isn't quite 30 years old, but it is getting on there and far away from your thought that it was a little over ten years ago.
Getting back on topic, have you got over the understandable outrage you must have felt about SF u-turning on the SCC?
there was no lie in the poster's post.
its only you and a few others who cared about sf's stance either way on the SCC.
for the rest of us, whether one is a supporter or disagrees with the SCC, it was down the list of things to care about when deciding whether to vote for a party or not.
"it was a little over ten years ago not 30" is a barefaced lie, when the quote was from 1994.
it was neither a lie or a barefaced lie, since the poster did not make a statement with the intention to mislead.
it was simply an honest mistake which happens to the best of us.
He didn't just make a statement, he was accusing someone else of getting it wrong, who had been exactly right. Anyway, I am leaving it there, as two of you have made fools of yourselves over getting it wrong, and it is off-topic.
We are getting to rabbit hole territory again
A well trodden track if I may be so bold to say………..
Isn't "rabbit hole" the phrase Brendan Bendar resorts to when he runs out of road? I personally thought the poster was asking a perfectly reasonable and honest question.
"Rabbit hole territory" in my books would be making a claim you either cannot back up, or (the one I suspect to be more likely) the poster is complaining about a lack of input to the thread from certain posters who may be unable to respond in the thread, reason for which could probably be found on page 1 of this thread under "thread banned".
I was actually just checking in to see if you had any further developments on Matt potentially being in a spot of bother, career in jeopardy etc etc?
Made a note in my diary for November 1st.
Any sign of Simon Harris making that formal complaint, or getting the Dáil record corrected?
In fairness Cee you have a very vivid imagination, God bless you…………..😂…..🤣
There were numerous posters crying about the injustice of juryless courts and how Amnesty and Mary Robinson agreed with Sinn Fein. I think the rabbit hole reference by Brendan is pretty apt as they've all gone to ground and disappeared.
The issue is that most of us have considered trials of members of an organisations seeking to overthrow the republic for terrorist offences to represent "exceptional circumstances" for decades. Having decided that the ballot box isn't such a bad political tool after all, Sinn Fein are only now admitting this.
Yet you were asked on more than one occasion who these posters were/are, and you have yet to name any. That would lead me to assume they don't exist, or as previously mentioned they may be already threadbanned, in which case you can hardly expect them to pop in here and challenge you, which makes your post null and void at best, goading and taunting at worse.
I beg your pardon? Do you think I "imagined" your premonitions of Carthy and Simon Harris Brendan Bendar? I could dig the post out, quote it in full again if you want, we could all get a good laugh at it again together, all "on the same page" so to speak.
Just let me know if you would like it "dug out" Brendan Bendar, I've a few minutes free before I embark on a long car journey, but I'm a very obliging fellow, so it's not a problem if you would like me to throw it out again.
I put it in with all the other complete yarns he spun. My mistake. I stand corrected.
I didn't bring Enda in. Stop telling barefaced lies. You know I didn't yet you felt the need to lie.
Have you managed a gotcha moment with any shinner regards SCC yet?
The boy Blanch is perfectly right.Naming posters is not a practice which seems welcome on these forums, I would suggest.
Accusing posters of goading and taunting seems not a welcome practice either.
Address the post, not the poster is the safest way
Oh for crying out loud, listen to yourself, you "would suggest" (if you don't mind) that it's now somehow "bad practice" to use the quote function to back up a claim you have been repeatedly making in this very thread?
This certainly is an unforeseen development in the lifespan of boards.ie platform. They should just get rid of the quote feature all together, because heaven forbid you might need to use it some day to back up your very own claim. I must make a mental note to send an inquisitive mail to HQ to assess when this was snuck into the charter they've yet to update.
Yes Brendan Bendar, this is your very own rabbi hole moment. This is a lovely little cul-de-sac you're after reversing yourself into now.
they are still here, rather it's simply the case that more of the party members agree the stance should change then those who don't, and therefore the voters will either have to accept the stance or lobby for change, which would take a couple of days or so to get going.
so like your previous post in the thread, it is you making a fool out of yourself and not those you accuse of doing so.
Definitely didn't imagine it Cdarby. Definitely a post that has stood the test of time 😂
Taoiseach gets it right again.
Slow learners indeed. Sure it took them 30 years of murder and death to finally sign up to peace in NI...
Finally introducing Antigen testing, Slow learners indeed.
Nothing to do with the thread but well done on wasting bandwidth and my brain cells.
Just showing you what an actual slow learner is.
You do know it was is NPHET that authorises these tests, not the government...... unless you want the government to go on solo runs...
It's the government who finally said they can be used.
After public medical advice from NPHET and NIAC....
It was still the government who did this.
