Hello everybody. :-)
Long time no see. ;-)
Sorry for short notice - kp7 forecast for tonight, however cloudy weather's expected, so tiny chance.
Is sat24 down for anyone else at the moment. Will be needed to watch for breaks.
homepage is working for me anyway
Was in a few mins ago then it went down got into main page to select language and it dropped again. Tried different dns, no luck.
20:19 - Its Back up
Still awaiting impact (I think, was predicted for around 6 pm UTC)...running out of time for a lot of us, cloud is coming in. Further north but more importantly east will be essential.
Raining in kerry for a change.
East showing hazy cloud. Just have to wait and see if any clearing later
I see a break in the clouds coming :)
NW Roscommon cloudy all night. Sadly, no Aurora for me to see this time! :-((((
No Aurora for anyone here last night.
Looks like a bust for us as usual, seems the cme hit this morning around 9am and was a lot slower and weaker than expected.
Unless it picks up in intensity then it's not looking good for tonight either.
what sites are you folks using to keep an eye on conditions, kp etc?

The last one, however, was the very one that gave kp7 for last night, hence all the let down. ;-(
any good apps out there?
No idea. I am totally computer based, don't even have a smartphone. :-D
I normally just use Spaceweatherlive.com to check the Kp, solar wind speed & density and the Magnetic field direction(south is better).

Also Spaceweather.com & Solarham.net more so for checking for any solar flares.

Spaceweather, few facebook groups like aurora uk, ni aurora and monitor twitter to see where people are seeing it in the UK.
Nasa said it was not due till 6am.. The shock hit 7.30pm and fun started later. Just missed the first wave, was cloudy and then again after 1pm it took off again. Worth the numb toes and fingers
Great shots Spookwoman.
What could you see with the naked eye? I missed the first part as well and went out about 12.30 but it had died down for a bit. It clouded over to the north after 1am so I missed out when it kicked off again.
Nice shots were are you
Thanks. When I got there at the start there was a def green light to the north and that was before my eyes has even adjusted. The 2nd not as bright but see this purple haze.
That was taken for the Vee knockmealdown mountains Tipp Waterford border
