Forgot to post here last week. AA definitely not happening next summer.

Delays in construction & delivery of the new airbridge. Swapping bridges around new airbridge will be going to gate 8 i think.U know the usual messing with these contracts.
Ryanair will fly 20 routes so far from SNN in 2022. In 2019 they flew 18 so number of departures would probably be up. KRK has increased to 3 weekly as well instead of 2. So there could be increases on other routes as well.
Hopefully LH return next year.
Is the new air bridge going up at Gate 6? I see stand 28 looks to be closed off. FR & EI parking at other stands.
Any idea where Ryanairs commitment to Shannon stacks up next summer vs 2019 in terms of number of departures?
Anyone else hear that Lufthansa once weekly service will resume next March?
Can't book Shannon to Gran Canaria beyond March. Presumably this will be on the Summer Schedule. Any idea when this will become bookable?
New Ryanair route from Shannon - Malta for Summer 2022.
No, they're just to get fuel and not a regular service.
Noticed re the unruly passenger last week that the flight a Nordwind Airlines flight was due to make a refuelling stop in Shannon anyway. Are there many of these flights occuring? Could a limited number of tickets be sold to go from Shannon to Cuba?
State Aviation Statistics (DTTAS)
2021 Quarter 3 figures are out.
Ah ok Thanks for that.
Not @ the moment going replacing the Air Bridge.
Does anyone know if Gate 6 is still in use in SNN? Looks like the air bridge has been removed?
Its seems that a British Airways A380 is training in Shannon today.
Cargo jet diverts to Shannon with mechanical issue (Clare Herald)
A US-bound cargo jet turned around over the North Atlantic and diverted to Shannon Airport this morning after the crew reported a mechanical problem.
United Parcel Service flight UPS-232 was travelling from East Midlands airport in the UK to Philadelphia in the US at the time. The scheduled cargo service had departed Cologne, Germany earlier in the morning and made a planned stop at East Midlands.
The Boeing 747-440(F) jet, with three crew on board, had departed from East Midlands at around 5.20am and was about two hours into its journey when the crew requested permission to turn around and divert to Shannon Airport.
US Air Force jet forced to turn around and make emergency landing at Shannon on way to Tel Aviv (Independent)
A United States military aircraft was forced to return to Shannon Airport and make an emergency landing just moments after taking off late last night.
The US Air Force C-37B, a military variant of the popular Gulfstream G550 business jet, took off from Shannon at around 11.20pm. The jet, which had arrived from Washington in the US earlier, had stopped at Shannon to refuel on its way to Tel Aviv, Israel.
The flight was using the callsign SAM-251 at the time. The acronym ‘SAM’ stands of Special Air Mission and is used by US military aircraft carrying members of the US Cabinet, Congress and other high-ranking American and foreign dignitaries. It was not clear however who was travelling on the incident jet.
SNN CFU appears to be available now on the FR app for S22.
They seem to not have much on sale for Corfu for next year so probably an issue at that side
United are back too from March 27th with a daily 757 to Newark.
If you were cynical , you might say they have planes on ground in shannon with routes ready to launch if the govt stumps up some cash (and that maybe they expect that outcome)
Does this rule out the European routes being reinstated ?
I remember there seemed to be a big gap between landing and takeoff for both boston and NY which made it seem like something was possible.
Aer Lingus confirming resumption of JFK and BOS flights next March and continuation of Heathrow flights.
Aer lingus seem to have bought the restart date for SNN JFK forward to the 11 March 2022. Originally due to resume on the 27th of March.
I wonder will Brexit help cargo to grow?
SNN FUE was announced as a new route in 2014. Its been operating for years and operated during Summer 2020 when FR returned to SNN after the first lockdown.
Yeah, they were announced months ago. They're just starting next month.
It's positive news for Shannon but hardly a "new" route, I booked a flight to Fuerteventura in April, travelling next week.
More positive news for SNN!!
you wouldnt know with him, we could says yes, but then in a month/few months time he could change his mind.
Does anyone know if Ryanair will run SNN-Corfu next year? Nothings on sale from Corfu yet for 2022 but just wondering in case
Reasonable start.
