Yep
How's the body today?
Stomach is like washing machine, milked this morning, still feel crap but better than the last 2 days, thanks
Got that a few years ago and it about a month to recover fully.
The back of my legs are really sore too, don't know what that's from. Haven't eaten since Sunday. Youngest lad got player of the year last night and I missed it.
Did it sell?
Just got planning permission approved for a house
Mighty stuff. Up to the wall plate here. Money disappearing at an alarming rate 🙈
The walled in garden if it was sold, the buyer would be looking in the window at someone. 😅
I was expecting over a million. Haven't a clue who bought what or for what purpose. The 15 acres looked like it was sold that way to give the tenant the chance to buy.
Everything is changing so fast nowadays or maybe I'm getting older probably should start asking people to guess my age? 😀 They were great people.
How is your budget faring against the rising costs for materials?
I. Don't envy younger people who are starting out now building and stuff the stories from tradesmen are frightening
Indeed I suppose farmers trying to build storage and sheds are in the same boat thankfully it's maintenance only for me around here
I dunno really. We had costings done up by a quantity surveyor at the beginning of the year and they are useless really with the way everything has gone. Only taking it one step at a time and pricing around everywhere for materials. I cleared the site and dug and poured the footings and sub floor myself so had a nice saving there. Materials for roof landed yesterday and it was 4k dearer than qs estimate from beginning of year. 15k for everything. Plumbing coming in around 21k with air to water and underfloor heating, block work 11.5k labour, 8.5k labour for the roof, 10k labour for plastering. Windows and doors around 18k. Will be able to insulation, paths, slabbing ceilings, sewerage works and them kinda handy bits myself hopefully. That's as far as I'd got with the pricing so far. 1950 sq/ft bungalow.
Ah sure it is what it is now. If we were waiting for things to get cheaper it would probably never be done. It'd cost us pretty much the same to rent a house as the mortgage payments so we aren't too badly off. Tradesmen are hard got though, think it's going to be a big problem in a few years time.
Yeah - work we did on the place in North Mayo early this year went from 26k to 34k as the price of materials shot up!!
Be the hokey
A friend priced a shed two year ago at 80000,
Hethen applied for planning and then a grant,
Sent out the plans to cantractors in march and price came back near 120000.
Only one contractor priced it,
Youngest lad scored two goals in a county final tonight. First year not involved, but still chuffed.
Watched the programme on rte1 last night on Colin whelan who murdered his wife 6 months after their wedding day. He was some chancer
I saw most of it as well, chancer would be a polite way of putting it. You’d have to wonder what goes on in some peoples heads or how they can go so badly wrong.
Fair Play Bass. I presume you are posting at 5.48 am on your way out the door to check the cattle !!! 🤣🤣🤣
The detective didn't mince his words when describing Colin with colourful language. I was surprised to hear that on TV
Ya, ya ya
🙈🙈
God love her, she met the a nutcase. Her poor family
Sorry - below went into the wrong thread last night
Rumours 2nite of a major trucker protest in Dublin next month over Diesel prices/tax. I think everyone who can support this(including farmers etc.) should go along to highlight the GP/government agenda of greenwash for the the benefit of smug Tesla driving D4 elites whose understanding of the actual environmental challenges does not extend beyond buying expensive coffee in recycled paper cups
Brought my wife and new baby boy home from the hospital this evening
Thank you jesus
Congrats 👍️
Best of luck and congratulations
Best of luck. The novelty wears off soon enough I find. Great and all but mine are 8,9 and 10 now. I think that's the sweet spot.
Super news, best feeling in the world 🙂
congrats to ye all…
Congrats
Brother and father in the haulage industry here, so will be up at, was saying this morning the two lorries will be pulled of the road after Xmas if rates don't go up, diseal is now costing 50 cent a kilometre up from 35 cent last year and company they are with won't up rates past a euro a kilometre , they are losing money at the minute, if the managers higher up the food chain don't start paying the rates, all the d4 heads laughing at the english driver shortage will be in for a rude-awakening next year
