Surprised there's no thread for these. Looking very tempting. 5 years of support which is great for those who keep our phones long-term. Do like my Pixel 4a but do find it a little underpowered and battery life isn't brilliant. Probably will be the regular 6 its bit more affordable. Estimated pricing is €649 the Pro is a little pricey for me at €899. Hopefully they do a good launch offer like the Pixel 5. Possibility it won't be on the Irish Google store for launch though, only the UK site has info up. Should be able to get it up north I guess or Argos may have it.

Would anyone who went from a Pixel 5 to a Pixel 6 be able to comment on the Pixel 6 speaker quality?
Thanks! Hadn't even thought of that for some reason. Their store on amazon.co.uk is being very odd some cases on other phones can be delivered normally, others can't and then some that can't can be with Prime for an extra £7 or so.
Does the magic eraser work with old photos taken before you got the phone? for example let's say you had a nice picture that you wanted to keep but you have your ex-girlfriend in it.
Magic eraser only works with photos taken on a pixel 6 unfortunately. You'll need to keep the ex photos stashed for another bit longer.. or dabble with some Photoshop
Google blog says it works on any old photo. I guess you need a Pixel 6 to use the feature, though

disaster - I managed to order a 6 on launch day but only through guest mode. Got a mail last night it was on hold until I sorted out my payment (KBC credit card). When I log in to the guest order page adn tap the update payments button it pops a message 'The requested URL was not found on this server.' - anyone else get this?
I presume I have to call them up?
Does anyone know how to remove the date on the top left? I want to add a different widget in this area but can't seem to delete it and just get a customise option when I long press on it.
You need to turn off the "at a glance" function.
Good news there's a day one update coming, which I was half expecting, there's a few little glitches here and there they need to fix.

My payment is still 'in progress' with BOI. I don't think I've ever seen a transaction be in progress for longer than a day. My delivery date still states 28th/29th October.. Getting nervous now!

Do you need to turn on Call Screening? I've been plagued with scam callers for the last few months so this will definitely help.
I downloaded my Vodafone eSim last night and it's working perfectly. If anyone is doing the same the instructions aren't very clear on the Vodafone side but download the QR code on a separate device, open settings - network & internet - Sims on the Pixel and it should allow you to scan the QR.
Where are you seeing the call screening?
Just checked mine, still pending with PTSB and still showing 28 Oct to 1 Nov.

If you open the normal calling app it should be at the top under settings.

I'm on GoMo although the setting should be independent of your network. Have you manually gone into settings and checked for any updates to your phone?
Also I subscribed to the Beta of the phone app in the Play store.

Just go to Play store and search for phone by google open it and there should be an option for beta in it.
I'm on beta too btw, maybe that's why we can use it.
