Surprised there's no thread for these. Looking very tempting. 5 years of support which is great for those who keep our phones long-term. Do like my Pixel 4a but do find it a little underpowered and battery life isn't brilliant. Probably will be the regular 6 its bit more affordable. Estimated pricing is €649 the Pro is a little pricey for me at €899. Hopefully they do a good launch offer like the Pixel 5. Possibility it won't be on the Irish Google store for launch though, only the UK site has info up. Should be able to get it up north I guess or Argos may have it.

My delivery date is still showing 26th 27th. I'd say it will move out too. Any idea when they might take payment
Do these Pixel phones have a Samsung DeX equivalent?
I know it's a niche feature but I find a full desktop/keyboard/mouse handy every so often.
Also, do they support a separate work profile?
Mine still saying October 26-27. To be honest would prefer it to slip so that I can still cancel if required after the reviews come out.
That's what I'm thinking. I have the pro on order but would rather the size of the 6. I would change my order if the reviews don't show a big difference.
I suspect the 6 will be better received than the 6 Pro. It doesn't sound like Tensor is up to the performance of the latest snapdragon and that's a lot more acceptable in a €650 phone than a €900 one.
Now this wouldn't bother me personally, my current phone is 2.5 years old and still as fast as I need it to be, it's the kind of thing reviewers will focus on though.
The difference will be imperceptible. I've had at least one new flagship every year since forever, and the speed of chips really makes no difference anymore.
I currently have the pixel 5 and you really wouldn't know that it's only a midrange chip. The processing time for auto HDR after taking a pic is the only time I'd notice, and that's no inconvenience.
Pixel 3a XL here. 2 & 1/2 years later still going strong. Battery has only lost 380mah according to accubattery.
Tempted by the 6, but like to keep phones a few years.
Is the mmWave tech something that will be a thing in Europe (i know it is only on the Pro)?
I'm in the same boat. Didn't really plan to upgrade yet as my launch day P30 Pro is going grand. I'd say the Pixel camera will have better pictures and the processor single core score is about 50% higher. I would miss the face unlock as it's useful with wet or dirty hands.
Not definitely sold on the Pixel yet but I think I'll get it delivered and sell off the phone and headphones separately if I decide against it.
If the S10+ is 1440p screen you'll notice the downgrade to 1080p. You get used to it after a while but it will never look as sharp.
Where are you ordering from and is it still available?
Supposedly the Tensor could be a remodeled Exynos chip?
I'm quite surprised that we haven't been charged today with these shipped. With the bank holiday they must be going out the Tuesday now, probably delivery on the Thursday (28th). For what its worth my current window on the website is 26/27th
Yeah, seems the Tensor is being made by Samsung for Google. One thing the guy in the video said Google didn't have access to Cortex X1 but apparently they do going by the spec here. https://www.androidauthority.com/google-tensor-vs-snapdragon-888-3025332/
The P5 is a great phone and only a year old....I struggle to see the upsell to move to a P6 from it. Though A12 updated on mine last night, I've mixed feelings on the new UI (atm)
I'm buying from the UK Store.
The only one in stock now is the 128GB Stormy Black, which looks a bit boring, I really wanted the white but if the stock doesn't change I'll go for the black as I don't want to miss out on the free headphones offer.
The size difference really is negligible. Handy tool to compare them and you can add your current phone to the comparison as well. https://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/Google-Pixel-6,Google-Pixel-6-Pro/phones/11732,11733
I'm out in Canada so will be checking them out in Best Buy this weekend, I've more or less made my mind up to go with the Pro. I currently have a LG Velvet which is taller but ever so slightly narrower (Still far to large already). Hopefully we get a normal sized Pixel 7 next year.

The Tensor processor sounds really good compared to rivals, the guy goes off on a bit of a tangent about the keynote presentation itself but a good video and explains the chips likely performance quite well.
I think the idea of multiple average cores to do average workloads makes sense. Sure if you want high benchmarks have a crazy single core but real world usage probably aligns better with Google’s plans. That said I doubt it will be any better or worse than the iPhone 13
Bought the 6 Pro in Stormy Black, wanted white really but since it shows no sign of coming back into stock, wanted to make sure I didn't miss the boat in terms of the headphones offer (which I've no intention of using).
Going to buy the Otterbox case, having had excellent cases from them for OnePlus Devices
Hopefully charger ports on these are more durable than on OnePlus devices.
Can anyone recommend decent phone insurance? I've never lost or broken a phone yet, but just in case my luck is running out I was wondering about insurance!
It's won't be close to the iPhone 13 in raw CPU and GPU but that would have been a big ask for their first attempt. The tensor cores accelerate the workloads Google really care about like on device AI, ML and the computation photography.
From looking at hands on impressions from Reddit and people who have gotten the phone early it sounds like the 6 feels very mid range compared to the pro, so I’ve cancelled mine as it doesn’t sound like an upgrade from my s10+ like the Pro would. If the Pro comes back in stock while the Bose offer is still up I might grab it but otherwise I guess my trusty s10+ will live on.
Just had money deducted for the case but not the phone yet. (Ordered separately because of the issues)
Edit: phone has also been charged
Payment taken for the phone this morning, no turning back now. Might have it by Tuesday hopefully.
Better order a case now!
My delivery date is November ? Any clue why. Based out of South Dublin.
International Priority (€0.00)Delivery: 23–24 Nov
Payment just taken as well
My too 😁
What time did everyone that has been charged get their order in? These things always seem to be luck of the draw, and people ordering much later than others end up with their phones earlier.
Same here payment taken a short while ago. No update on the Google orders page yet though to say it's dispatched. Hopefully soon.
