Not quite yet for Eth, think $4350 is ATH. Might have crossed it in € though
I always know something big is going on when I wake up and half the price tracking widgets on my homescreen are broken 🤑
I bought into a top 20 crypto index fund token 11 weeks ago and it's doubled already, unreal.
Still less than 3T for total crypto market cap, gold is over 11T and bonds probably 10x more again. Still plenty of room to grow.
You said the same thing not long ago with the last rally. You trot out this history repeating theory every time there is an uptick, seemingly. By now, we should be headed down into a multi year bear market by you prior reckonings.
Within a few $ of an ETH ATH
All the above and I'm seriously considering the possibility that many large players are forcing a pump.
Not so much as a pump and dump but rather as a means of building value on balance sheets to allow both a degree of balance sheet security (ignore the volatility aspect, treat it as an FX balance with a daily NAV) and also as a means of allowing existing holdings to be rolled to cash as a means of ensuring liquidity for some bumpy times to come. Main equity markets are flashing red, Nikkei dropped 2.25% overnight and sweet Jesus Turkey is in monetary and fiscal disaster at present. That's all with us ignoring China.
I'm still in majority cash on crypto and I am kicking myself at the opportunity cost of that. I have reopened positions in ROSE, ADA, LINK and LRC as short terms and will be trading out on a set gain. Also bought into a diverse eToro copyportfolio to get more exposure without needing to do as much legwork on coins as I'm very focused on a few equity positions currently.
I can't get past the real sense of something of a major rugpull across all markets, equities, bonds, crypto and derivatives incoming. Everytime I trade lately, my Spidey sense is tingling and I'm spending far too long second guessing myself.
Take zero advice or heed of my bearish sentiment. I do think that we are very near the inflection point for Crypto and for BTC in particular as a store of value. The usual pre-crash flight to Gold and commodities?
MUST, MUST, MUST now include a range of Crypto too IMO. And no crypto is as credible as such a store? As is BTC
ETH hit its all time high, then crashed right down again...good aul Crypto 😣
Not crashing, just giving the laggards a chance to get on board.
I've never said we should be into a bear by now. I've always claimed we will be hitting 70k euro before Christmas. Last rally it was repeating, but that was just on the mid-peak. This is the next upward trend into the top peak. All on track to hit some silly number around November - December.
The question then is will it maintain/push further/crash back to 30k. If it repeats it will be 30k by the summer.
Profits from the BTC pump in the last 24 hours seem to be going into SOL & LINK, prediction of BTC dumping hard when LINK touches $30
..
Again 🙄
Does that mean someone actually sold a Bitcoin at $8k? Market order or something maybe? Ouch
If they had stop loss orders they may have been screwed but I doubt anyone would have had something crazy like at 8k
There are always little corrections along the way up during bull runs, look at the historical charts and you'll see plenty of 10-20%+ corrections and little periods of consolidation during bull runs, can't expect it to go straight up for weeks on end
Damn some lucky b****d got that. Wish it was me. 😂
Good time to remind people to never do a market order in case something like this happens.
Anyone into Michael Saylor
My first purchase was when they were about €372. Oh to have known then what I know now.
What stablecoins do people use for trading?
Was thinking i'd move some from the alt coins i have into stablecoins after any big gains. Always seem to drop after any big jump.
Usdc is what I use, I can put it in 3 month earn at 12% on crypto.com
Those pesky whales up to their old mischief again. All the weak hands getting nailed.
There had to be some selling after a week like that.
I use USDC as well and ladder them into 3 month terms on crypto.com so they're not all locked away if I need some. I keep some in their flexible earn too.
I usually move alt gains into bitcoin instead of stablecoins though.
Markets looking great atm.
Indeed. Great seeing green across the board, and makes things look very healthy.
Big drops across the board this morning, but seems to be recovering at the moment.
Always scary seeing red across the board.
Very true! Kinda new to crypto but is this one of those time when one should HODL!?
There are two strategies you can pick from:
Buy when prices are going up, then panic sell when they are going down and get below what you paid.
or
Buy when prices have declined and sell when they have increased above what you paid.
HODLing is part of the second strategy as it may be necessary in getting to the increase part.
I’m relatively new to it too, but 100% HODL. Looks like the market moves were deliberate to liquidate leveraged positions, and then swoop in and pick up the cheap crypto:

Actually crazy how people are still using leverage after the amount of times similar has happened over the last few months, are these people learning at all
