Yeah similar to me. Even younger relatives and the like mostly play free stuff.
I kind of get the feeling that AAA games are in danger of pricing themselves out of the market. especially when there's so many free* games and gamepass available.
*yeah, yeah...technically free but you know yourself.
The big games still sell really well, and anything smaller than that can find it's own market on the various storefronts available. The industry won't be going free to play any time soon.
You can play 4 hours of the game for free this week
It's also on stadia if you wanna try it without downloading it.
Currently playing Mass Effect 3 and brings back the memories of the first and second, they sure do not hold your hand regarding locating mission objectives. Currently trying to do side missions on the Citidel and I covered every inch of the area and cannot find the objectives. Normal games bring you right to where you need to go. Not this one, it's kind of annoying.
Uncharted Movie Trailer is here. It looks like a lot of fun with a few scene for scene remakes from the games.
Still think it's miscast (even though I like Tom Holland) and certainly won't be rushing to the cinema to see it (regardless of covid), but might still be a bit of fun.
I think a film adaptation is of Uncharted is fundamentally flawed, since a lot of the series success is down to how it channels and takes advantage of the particular eccentricities of AAA video games. Put that in a film context and a lot of it immediately seems either hyper-generic (not that the game was shy about its influences) or absurd (the plane sequence is perfectly fine in a game, but a CG mess on film).
But really can't get over Wahlberg and Hollands' casting as Sully and Drake. Both woefully misjudged for their respective roles. I don't think casting on physical similarity alone is the way forward either, but they both just seem so very wrong for the parts, even with the 'younger Drake' spin.
Totally agree. Tom Holland is a great actor but he just looks totally wrong for the part. And fecking Mark Wahlberg as Sully to boot...
Worth reminding that the production has gone on for so long, Wahlberg went from its initial star to the surrogate father figure.
It's always a mistake getting hyped about a debut game from a small, unknown team based on just one trailer. But if ever there was a project I'd like to see deliver on its promises, it's Instinction from New Zealand's Hashbane games. It will supposedly be a single player game (although there was talk of co-op at one point) combining combat, puzzles, exploration, and dinosaurs. Beautifully rendered and lit dinosaurs.
That does look good.
Does Sony allow anybody watch this movie or just playstation owners ?
It's a cinema release. I don't think you have to show your dualshock controller on the way in 😁
This is Sony remember. They took Spiderman and now Tom Holland.
They can keep Tom Holland.
😝
I think this is a year too late also surprised Sony didn't try and get this for psplus like how it's coming to gamepass
I saw somewhere that it's 30 something quid? Absolutely **** that when i can play it cross play with everyone from my phone. Also haven't played this in months, like you said, bit late. Will be a ghost town on PlayStation if it's not added to ps plus.
The link above says it’ll be $5, similar to what it is on PC, Switch etc
Anybody notice that if you navigate up to the parent channel, Gaming General, then this channel is not listed. At least on my phone.
Yeah it's a known bug
Ah cool, was looking at the physical release price.
Like the search. If i want to find a specific thread, i have to Google "boards.ie *thread name*".
I'm just going to My Comments list to find my channels.
Well forza is up for preload on PC gamepass 103gb for windows
They are releasing these quicker than I am playing them. I'm still on Forza Horizon 3.
I really like the Forza Horizon games, but they are releasing the same basic game with a pretty new map every few years 😅
Lucky for them, the maps are fairly damn pretty.
It's like iPhone. New version, same stuff, but prettier.
It's on GamePass so I'm not going to miss the opportunity to drop out of an airplane in a supercar and race around a volcano in 4K.
Another one for GamePass, 60 FPS 4k
Anyone use One4All cards with Gamestop.ie before? Used last night for psn credit, exact amount on the card and they cancelled it this morning with a refund in process.
