Surprised there's no thread for these. Looking very tempting. 5 years of support which is great for those who keep our phones long-term. Do like my Pixel 4a but do find it a little underpowered and battery life isn't brilliant. Probably will be the regular 6 its bit more affordable. Estimated pricing is €649 the Pro is a little pricey for me at €899. Hopefully they do a good launch offer like the Pixel 5. Possibility it won't be on the Irish Google store for launch though, only the UK site has info up. Should be able to get it up north I guess or Argos may have it.

im wondering about screen protector.. i had one on my iphone 13... will they be a bit tricky with the curved edges on the pro? the pain with pixel stuff in general having owned pretty much them all is that accessories such as cases and screen protectors are lot less in terms of offering compared to apple devices.. ive had a few Torras slim fit cases on the last phone i had and really liked the feel and fit... not heavy duty protection but would do for the type of crazy dangerous keyboard work i do
Get the black one with the transparent back on it, so everyone can see the big G. They need to know it's a Pixel.
I think when they see the camera bump people will know its a pixel :)
I would be keen to get a screen protector film for the camera. Theres a few on Amazon for the Pro but not so much the 6. I would expect this will change in the coming weeks give the phone has only just been released globally.
Does anyone know if the Pixel 6 is on display in any stores yet? The main factor holding me back is its size and it would be helpful to see in person. I'm currently using a 3a and would have jumped at the 6 had it been closer to the size of the Pixel 5.
Definitely not this week, maybe late next week in Vodafone.
I have the 7T (not pro) and I've ordered the Pixel 6. Can get €225 fro Cex for my old phone plus possible sell the headphones too.
Bit the bullet and ordered the 6 in black. I think the upgrade on my s10+ will be worth it especially as I love the Pixel software.
If I sell the Bose and S10+ for 400ish then it works out as 250 which is a bit of a bargain anyway.
This.
I have the equivalent case on my S10+. One of the best cases I've owned. Very lightweight. It's clear so the back is visible (my phone is white). And the sides and camera bump are black so you don't get that nasty yellowing that clear cases suffer from.
I also have the Spigen tough armour and don't use it as I find it adds too much bulk and weight. It's an otherwise great case also.
Needless to say horses for courses.
Thinking the same myself. Sell S10+ and the Bose. Should get between 400-500 total at least. Hmm.
I can't post links, but Phone Arena do size comparisons of phones. I know it's not the same as holding it in your hand, and you would probably have a case on as well.
I think you get used to a phone size pretty quickly. The P5 is actually smaller than the 3a, and the P6 isn't a massive jump in size from the 3a.
I'm going from the P5 to the P6Pro, which I know is almost identical in size to the Note 9 that I used to have. I know I will miss how great the P5 is in one hand, but there's other benefits to a bigger screen.
If anyone was looking for the leather cases that are shown on the Google Store they are actually available direct from Bellroy. They seem to have extra colours as well.
Thanks I ordered one for the heck of it
D Brand also have the grip case available for preorder.
There isn't much difference in the physical size, but I worry the screen will be too big and I'll lose the ability to use my phone with one hand. My boyfriend has a 4a and I really enjoy its form factor due to the smaller bezels.
Is this Bellroy tag calling me a gowl? 🤔
Is the Google site broke?
Each time I enter payment details it bounces me back to basket showing out of stock. Then I add it again. It shows in stock and the same happens.
This is for cloudy white 6 pro 128GB
Anyone else?
All 6 Pros are currently out of stock on the site. You probably just missed it.
If the Pixel 5 is anything to go by, it will come in and out of stock over the next few days.
I had the same issues when I went to the normal page it said join waiting list but when I click a link in my history it brought me straight to the 3 pro phones showing the black 128gb in stock. I was able to check out and pay. This was around 3:30pm today
First time ordering a phone via google store.
Has anyone bought items before, do they send out a VAT receipt with the phone?
First time for me too but it says the order includes X amount of VAT when ordering and this worked out at 23% for me so I'd say it should be fine to reclaim Irish VAT on.
Nevermind
Just googled "google store VAT receipt" and this appeared....
Yeah I saw that too, I couldn't find the place to enter a tax id.
I've used company name etc as the billing address for the credit card but its not showing up on anything when I view the order online. I just hope the billing address is on some sort of receipt when purchase goes through.
At least there is an option to contact someone at the end of the screen. Often Google will send you around in a circle of help pages. Good luck with that.
I'm the same, i had 3a and have 4a and much prefer the smaller form factor, i would have jumped at the 6 but i know it will be too big for me. My work gave me a Nokia 7.2 and that's the same size as as the 6 and it was too big, i couldn't get used to it and just found it too awkward. I checked again last night to see how compares with 4a and defo i wouldn't get used to it.
I do wonder if they'll make a 6a at some point, the "a" range seemed popular.
Still no Pro's available on the Google Store, but a couple of colours of the standard 6 available.
My delivery estimate has slipped slightly from Oct 26-28 to Oct 27-29.
Hopefully have it early next week.
Yeah my phone has slipped a day to but case coming day before. 27th 28th for phone
I'm so torn on whether to keep my 6 order or not. Impressions seem to be that it's more mid range than premium (compared to the Pro) so would it really be much of a step up on my s10+?
But then I don't want another curved screen phone either which puts me off getting the Pro.
Decisions decisions..
