It looks like it's the first race in the park since 07 March 2020.
Alot can happen between Oct and Dec !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1000 entries gone within 24hrs, you love to see it.
Cant wait for this race. Wont be in PB shape but training is going well and starting to take shape.
Ray Darcy has a half marathon in the park on Dec 11th, no mention of the route yet.
On the dear side but a good cause (Laura Lynn).

Hope all the Munster 10 miles are returning - had entered Mallow for 2020 and that is by far one of my favourite Irish races. Hopefully that returns in 2022 (or beyond, I can't remember what running feels like never mind racing)
Am I reading that right, that as well as the registration fee you also have to raise 100 euro for the nominated charity to get an entry?
Oh, I didn't see that although would have thought the entry fee alone got you a bib.
Yeah it says you either pay the 100 or get donations. Seems very steep to expect this & even off putting to people entering therefore reducing the money that could be raised for the charity. I think the entry fee is enough to pay to go to the charity & then to have the option if you should choose to raise money.
Dungarvan is going ahead, and entries will be open in a few weeks time.
Cobh have also announced a date in early April, and I see Mallow have a date slotted also.
Duhallow have thier 5k coming up in December, so would imagine their 10 miler will return in the spring too.
Less than 40 places left for the Donore Harriers Jingle Bells 5k for those who are interested but haven't signed up as of yet.
Tallaght athletics going ahead with the deferred 5k on the 14th of November, offering refunds up till October 31st incase the date doesn't suit.
Turns out they sold 1500 places, wonder will they go again seeing there are no limits now.
Anyone a strava of the course?
Check out my activity on Strava: https://strava.app.link/Mj2Td83rukb
That's the course I did in 2019. I'm presuming it'll be the same. Finished on the track.
Insure cover is only for 1500 from what I understand.
Can't see your Strava route but if it's the route that starts in the college then its not this years one. It's gone back to the old route starting on the Greenhills Rd pretty much opposite the Costa at Harvey Normans, up into Tallaght Village and left down towards Glenview. Straight all the way down to the lights and turn left for Tymon. You follow the road all the way around to the left turn back onto the Greenhills Rd. Back up Greenhills and into the clubhouse and 300m finish on the track. 1st 2m is slight downhill and last mile is a drag up the Greenhills Rd
Yes mine was the one starting in the College. That was my 1st time doung the Tallaght 5k so had no idea of the previous route. Thanks for that.
It incorporates the Dublin Novice Championship too
Yep, if I recall it is always limited to 1500.
Did the streets of Kilkenny 5k tonight, great course with a very good atmosphere around the city, good and fast and very good standard, over 20 people sub16. Defo one for the future which I'd put up there alongside rathfarnham and Jingle bells for getting a pb on.
Any word on the Raheny 5?
Normally opens early Nov, but would be weary of limits on numbers for insurance mid winter...
Anyone know if the Tom Brennan 5km Jan 1st race in the Phoenix park is on??
Anyone know if "Glendalough Lap of the Gap Marathon" is going ahead in 2022? I see info about it up on ahotu but nothing recent posted on their facebook page or club website. Registration looks to have been opened for prior events around this time.
Few new races up for registration now on myrunresults:
Raheny 5 - 30th Jan 2022 - Reg Opens 5th Nov
Dungarvan 10 - 6th Feb 2022 - Reg Opens Dec
Simon 5m - 12th March 2022 - reg open
Bohermeen Half - 13th March 2022 - Reg open
Omagh Half - 3rd April 2022 - Reg Opens Dec
Adare 10k on sale now. Limited places and will sell out fast.
Armagh international 5k cancelled for 2022, due to Corona uncertainty ughh. Gutted, it's the one year that I was within a shot of the qualification time.
Wow, what a bunch of bed wetters.
According to their twitter it's possible it will be held later in the year. Or at least under discussion.
Debating whether to enter the Bohermeen or Wicklow half next March. Haven't done either before. Can anyone recommend one over the other? Main differentiating factor at the moment is that Bohermeen is about twice the travel time for me.
