Surprised there's no thread for these. Looking very tempting. 5 years of support which is great for those who keep our phones long-term. Do like my Pixel 4a but do find it a little underpowered and battery life isn't brilliant. Probably will be the regular 6 its bit more affordable. Estimated pricing is €649 the Pro is a little pricey for me at €899. Hopefully they do a good launch offer like the Pixel 5. Possibility it won't be on the Irish Google store for launch though, only the UK site has info up. Should be able to get it up north I guess or Argos may have it.

All Pixel phones in last few years are Wifi calling capable. However this is a network dependent feature and network operators will only have it enabled for certain phones. The Irish networks are typically are crap compared to rest of the world.
Yes - just buy direct from Google UK. There wont be any cheaper offerings initially SIM free.
Remember also all late model Pixel phones (like iPhones) now are dual SIM (Physical SIM + eSIM). Again eSIM is network dependent feature - see comment above.
They would if they could.
With global chip shortages, all productions volumes for phones are lower, all the while demand is up. According to reports (such as this), in the short term this will get worse before it gets better. This is typical for all tech things at the moment.
Ireland is a small market and the priority will be focusing on the biggest markets until supply can increased.
And don't expect any deals - if they do it will be a bonus.
Will Google uk ship to Dublin? Or do you have to use addresspal etc
There's no chance of Irish networks supporting a phone that isn't officially available here.
re the esim? i don't mind either way to be honest
No, you'll need a UK address and will get hammered with VAT twice.
Google UK only sell/ships to UK, similarly Google IE only sells/ships to Ireland.
Addresspal - you could but you will pay 23% VAT + any customs charges - and no guarantee you will get your purchase in a timely manner.
I guess I can ship to friend in ni and get him to repost
WiFi calling
Or my other option is a trip to ni
Just be aware that if you have a warranty issue you may have to return it to UK. Not an issue of course if you have the means.
Lads looks like you could buy from ireland google store too. Includes free bose headphones too. https://www.pixel-offers.com/headphones
Well that's me in so.
Google Store is down, getting "500. That's an error"
Now this is excellent news! Surely not a mix up, fingers crossed it goes live. I was going to go for the standard pixel but that pro is calling for me
Ahh I thought it wasn't going to be in Ireland, great news!
Past pixels have shipped from the UK, hopefully if that's the case there won't be large import fees like Amazon
Looks like 3 and vodafone are in !!
€649 for the Pixel 6 on the Irish store now, that's me in
The headphones are £300 on Amazon!
Anyone able to check out on the Google Store? Trying to snag myself a Pixel Pro but won't process my basket! Why won't they just shut up and take my money???
Bonus granted! Im in.
Same here, I'm getting
"It’s not you, it’s us. We’re working on fixing the problem. Check back soon. Error code: R013"
Error code: R013 whatever that is. I assume it is either tooo busy or not live yet
Same error here. Still, absolutely delighted it's on the Irish store. No brainer now with those headphones
When are they going to start shipping? Can't see it on website
Think I'll get the 6 and upgrade my QC35ii.
Google says no!
Think I'll get the 6 Pro and upgrade my QC35ii. :)
Grrrrr the error.
I need to check the video again but there's not much reason for me to go Pro over 6.
Really want to get the 6 Pro, but it's so much dearer than the 6 😢
