But nope going to gig in the 3Arena is too much for our hospitals
What does that even mean?
Yep cert check will just be another protocol going in
Security pat down
Covid cert check
Ticket scan
Enjoy the gig
Bar/merch and food places will be hard to manage but they were always crowded
This is not good news on the gig front

I expect nothing less, than full capacity for music events, coupled with, covid cert to gain entry, a relatively minor inconvienience, plus i and many others have become used to showing it now, at gigs, restaurants & pubs.
They can’t wait anymore - certs on entry is apparently enough to minimise risk, and we can’t he held to an indefinite timeframe, by less than 10% of adults, who made a conscious & deliberate choice.
Repeated Enouragement has totally failed, so its time to take the gloves off, and take a tougher approach, and those who made that choice, can live with the consequences of that choice, and can have their own little mini lockdown, outside, in the rain and cold.
Its unfortunate, but its where we are now.
Think majority of people would have no issue with showing cert alright if it meant 100% capacity pubs and gigs etc. It's no inconvenience at all to show cert for the few seconds. Think it was always ambitious to try to remove everything in one go so if that's the very small price it's no hassle at all. Will be interesting to see if things can go go 100% capacity with it.
Tbh I'm fully ok with keeping the covid-19 certs if it means we can go to restaurants/bars/gigs from Friday.
As mentioned we need to live with this yoke now, cases are going to go up and down, but the fact over 70% of hospital cases are non vaxxed it shows the vaccines are working. We know the vaccine doesn't stop people getting it but it will reduce in hospitalisation for the majority of people. We have nearly 94% of the population with at least one dose, what more can we do.
Saw this gig is being rescheduled due to the uncertainty https://twitter.com/foggynotions/status/1450131431406116866?t=sh1QJGgQ636sq3JXSxRSCQ&s=19
Sure you've nothing else to spend your money on, didn't pth guarantee we're going back to level 5 lockdown.
Absolutely, the usual crap of journalists taking liberty. He left it wide open to them though. There was nothing said wasn't already said in the last few days bar a suggestion (again) of antigen testing being an aid in reopening
Ah fair enough. Guess Lehane should probably clarify his tweet in that case. Can see how someone would get a different impression if had only seen original tweet.
Recently I was going to say I'd make a donation to a charity of choice each time something like this happened but I realised I'd probably be broke fairly quickly
Rte have already posted the video. Not mentioned
The quote i posted is literally what's said
Show me an actual mention of physical distancing in that article and I will pay for your concert tickets for the next year.
Mirror reported it with physical distancing also. Maybe RTE will post full video of audio but think really until it's confirmed it's all speculation at this stage. Plenty of kites being flown so will have to see what NPHET reccomend and and what Cabinet decide. https://twitter.com/MichealLehane/status/1450106549934993414?t=ERFf5CRL6RA3w9O9ELPhRA&s=19
Again can you give the quote where he mentions it ?
RTE haven't even got it in their article and they were the first bloody ones to say it.
Honestly calm yourself for a while will you
the physical distance story is starting to run now
The exact quote was
"The continuation of the Covid certs is certainly an item on the agenda as is mask wearing and so on"
RTE took it upon themselves to bring up social distancing but left it out of the article....
literally the report by the person named in the tweet.
It's being reported that he did mention physical distancing. Is there reporting that says otherwise? Covid certs wouldn't be the issue. If there's physical distancing presumably means no 100% capacity gigs which is spanner in works for gigs planned for this weekend and next few weeks.
How? Just once actually back up what you're saying considering a) he didn't mention physical distancing and b) you were ok with certs an hour ago.
You've become a parody of a joke that wasn't funny to begin with.
EDIT: https://www.rte.ie/news/2021/1018/1254308-nphet-easing-meeting/
Teresa mannion doesn't mention social distancing in her report. Wouldn't be like you to just blindly believe the worst.
For the love of God, a kick in the balls for large parts of the Entertainment Industry
Yes you can
Go into your order in your account ,then click on "Need help with this order" and select Full refund.
Can I request a full refund as dates were changed? Cannot find this option on ticketmaster.
Snoop Dogg has pushed his tour back ...again
But you are, you are literally making this up, not for the first time either.
Wish I was
Stop making things up.
Hard to believe we're going backwards and the reopening due for the 22nd might not be taking place. So so frustrating
Sadly think the option of allowing places reopening fully but require Covid passes will not come to fruition. Let's hope Minster Martin pushes for reopening no matter what
Some friends in London told me the O2 London venue, has been cashless for a while,- once inside the venue arena, and other London venues as well
Arena in Birmingham i was in last month was all cashless
This was already happening to a certain extent, pre pandemic, it has now rapidly accelerated, and will become the norm.
Apart from security issues, there are also additional costs in dealing with cash, cash collections for delivery of lodgements to banks, are not free, (eg G4S)and lodgements are charged, per note. Buisinesses don’t have to keep floats and organise coin collections for change, and count all the cash, therefore, there are also additional staff costs in managing all of this.
Cashless makes a lot of sense, allthough i see it starting in the bigger venues first. This has already happened in several large venues in the UK.
