Surprised there's no thread for these. Looking very tempting. 5 years of support which is great for those who keep our phones long-term. Do like my Pixel 4a but do find it a little underpowered and battery life isn't brilliant. Probably will be the regular 6 its bit more affordable. Estimated pricing is €649 the Pro is a little pricey for me at €899. Hopefully they do a good launch offer like the Pixel 5. Possibility it won't be on the Irish Google store for launch though, only the UK site has info up. Should be able to get it up north I guess or Argos may have it.

There's a pre-order offer going in Germany for the non-pro version so a friend is going to see if she can sign up to it.
Bit rubbish that it won't be on the Irish store as it's the only Pixel I've wanted in a long time.
I had originally hoped to upgrade from my 3a to a 5a but was disappointed when the didn't launch it in europe. I think I'll take the leap and get a 6 when it comes out now
Who said it won't be?! It will, and Vodafone will have it too.
Five years of security updates though, does that mean you'll be getting Android 17 for it in 5 years time or just some security patches? Hopefully it's the former, if you're careful about how you charge the phone (or just pay for a battery replacement midway through its lifespan) then you could easily use a high end Android phone for 4-5 years these days.
I've a OnePlus 7 Pro that I could definitely stretch another year out of but might be interested in the Pixel 6 Pro if they're doing the free Bose headphones deal with it that was advertised in Saturn Germany. Would make it a fairly cheap purchase for my circumstances.
I'm in the same boat as you, OnePlus 7 Pro. It doesn't need an upgrade but I would like the Pixel 6. I have been keeping an eye on it.
Where are you hearing that? Google have already announced where it's launching and Ireland isn't in the list. it's also listed on their UK store but not their IE store. So yeah, I think you're wrong.

Well that's very disappointing.
That is sickening. Have waited all year for this, and was also looking forward to getting the Bose headphones with it.
Does that mean it's not available in Ireland at launch or it will never be available from Ireland via the Google store? I'm not in a rush to pick it up but would only be interested if they're doing the Bose deal again and I'm guessing that would be at launch only.
Well so far it's looking like Ireland is the only launch country from the Pixel 5 that isn't getting the Pixel 6. Pretty disappointing.
I thought it might have been linked to Brexit, as we're the only country that would share the same charger as the UK. I don't think it comes with a charger anyway, so it's not that.
I don't think Google have ever made phones available later that weren't available at launch so I wouldn't hold your breath. Best way to get it will probably be to go up North.
Not much use to me, would need to buy it in Ireland so I can reclaim the VAT. I can also buy off any of the EU Amazon sites VAT free but wouldn't be expecting any Bose deals by the time the phone is available on Amazon.
I see there are rumours this morning that there may be a "Pixel Pass" subscription launched along with this phone.
Pity about the availability, not surprised really. Do these pixel phones usually have WiFi calling enabled?
I'm hoping it's just them not updating the Irish webstore though it may be a temporary supply issue and it will launch here later. Google supposedly have ordered 50% more phones so they should be more widely available.
Rumor's suggesting 4 years of android updates plus another year of security updates.

Will you be able to buy the pixel 6 pro up north sim free?
The 5 was for sale from Amazon wasn't it? If so I'd expect you'd be able to get this sim free and with full warranty from Amazon France/Germany.
I'd say Argos and Currys will have them. Getting one from abroad won't be an issue just we won't be eligible for the the Promo launch offer if we do.
And almost certainly no WiFi calling.
cool i am probably being overly optimistic but im selling my iphone 13 pro max and going for the pixel 6 pro.. nothing wrong with the iphone.. had pixels for years and spent a year with the 12 pro max.. just hope google don't screw it.. the one thing annoys me with google is you just can't depend on them... they could release a pro this year.. and not bother next year... whereas apple will release a pro phone every year
🤔 They've never had a Pro version before. There's been XL's versions of nearly all Pixels but they've only had a bigger screen and battery.
Pixel 6 Pro has extra Telephoto camera, more ram and a 120hz screen. Hopefully more to be revealed. Telephoto is only thing really tempting me to pay the extra. I'd think the regular 6 may have better battery life with the lower refresh rate and smaller screen.

Crazy that Ireland is their European headquarters yet they don't even bother making the phone available here!!
I very much doubt it but hoping Ireland is valid for the pre order bonus from Amazon UK. I got the QC35 IIs with the Pixel 5 (Google ie store) and wouldn't half mind the Bose 700s now!. The price this year given the standard of the phone is shocking, French pre orders are up at €649 for the base P6 - far cheaper than expected
There was at least one person who ordered the Pixel 5 on Amazon and tried to get the QC35's last year. Might be worth checking that thread to see if they managed to get them.
Do you reckon will be possible to order the 6 pro from Amazon uk for delivery here?
Very disappointed with this, I got the Pixel 5 with the Bose QC35 last year and was looking to upgrade mainly for the improved camera, Tensor chip and the possibility of the Bose 700s. I'm gutted that Google aren't releasing it here, it makes no sense for them not to as the demand for the 5 was huge last year.
It did show up on the UK site for £849 for the Pro 128GB.
So the event is 18.00hrs our time I believe.
That is correct PT + 8hrs
